Tech Tip Tuesday! 💡

A process is not truly scalable if it only works in the hands of the person who built it.

Watch for:
1) Hidden knowledge: Critical variables and judgment calls living outside the written protocol.

2) Fragile optimization: Workflows that only perform well under ideal conditions.

3) Poor transferability: Processes that break when operators, timing, equipment, or reagent lots change.

Scalability means knowing what can change without changing the result. Build for transferability, not just perfection. 🔖

Early in your career, it is easy to default to a rehearsed list of credentials and degrees. But intelligence and top university names cannot replace human connection.

A genuine professional narrative changes everything:

1) Humanize your background: Connect the messy, twists of your journey to the person sitting across from you.

2)Ditch the script: Shift the conversation away from dry resume bullet points to the actual value you bring.

3) Lead with authenticity: Build trust by sharing the real context behind your experiences rather than a polished facade.

Never let a list of academic credentials blind you to the power of a personal story. Prioritize genuine connection over a pitch.

Tech Tip Tuesday! 💡

You rarely run out of ideas in science, but you can easily run out of time and capital.

Early on, it is easy to spend weeks building pipelines, designing or coding custom platforms in total isolation. But true validation happens when real users touch what you make.

Watch for:
1) Silent building: Spending weeks refining tools before speaking to a single potential user.

2) Over-engineering: Building complex infrastructure when a simple one-page doc or basic form can test demand.

3) Resource discipline: Confirming the bottleneck with peers before spending runway on the cure.

Effort looks great on paper, but verified demand tells the truth. Test early, and protect your time! 🔖
