If you asked me now if I would have moved alone to the US at 17 knowing everything I know now, the answer would be “no”. But I’m extremely grateful that I did. The film industry may look glamorous from the outside, but trust me - it’s not glamorous at all. On the contrary, it’s ridiculously challenging. Add being an immigrant to the mix… I always tell people that the only ones who actually stick with film are the ones who truly love it, so being listed as one of the 6 people in the field under 30 is a huge privilege and one more validation that it was all worth it!

Filmmaking takes a village - it’s the ultimate team sport. Entrepreneurship, on the other hand, can be very lonely. And it was. Until I met my partner @felipebritto . I’m so so grateful to have met you along the way!!! Sharing this journey with you makes everything way more fun and, without you, @ginga.pictures wouldn’t be the same. Your drive, character, passion and resilience inspire me every single day!!

To our amazing team: you’re the heart and soul of this company. Thank you for believing in the vision, adding value with your unique perspectives and making magic happen day in and day out! I’m lucky to work with such talented people!

To my boyfriend, friends, family, and mentors along the way: your love and support mean the world to me. You’ve put up with my constant trips, late nights, wild asks, and moments of doubt, and I’m beyond grateful for each of you. The reality is that the accomplishments, celebrations and milestones are really only worth it because you guys are there with me. ♥️ by @melchapaval

in november i couldn’t even run 5k.
3.5 months later, i ran my first half marathon.

this started as my turning-30 crisis. i wanted to do something that felt impossible before actually turning 30, and back then it honestly did. and that was the exciting part: the process of becoming someone who could actually do it.

very grateful for my best friends @marinaffaria_ and @lucasfaria for immediately saying yes to the challenge, training together was key to staying motivated! and for @kikebarco for the constant support, joining runs and following me on the bike through every mile.

now i finally get the runner’s high… and i might be hooked 🤪 by @melchapaval
