Ten years ago today. It wasn’t a perfect wedding. It rained and we had to move the ceremony inside. My brother had to drive back into Fredericksburg (twice!) to purchase umbrellas. Certain photos weren’t taken. Close friends and family weren’t able to make it at the last minute. Changes had to be made quickly and the last minute to-do list had to get wrapped up regardless. All the wedding planning in the world can’t compete with a Texas rain storm in the spring.

It ended up being an intimate and perfectly imperfect wedding that started off our journey together. It was a perfect beginning to our imperfect lives together as two imperfect human beings.

The highlight reel from the last 10 years would be too long to share, but it’s when I look back at these photos, I remember everything and how I felt that day. You made me a stepmom to the most amazing daughter and you made me proud to be your wife. Happy 7-year Anniversary to my amazing husband. Why couldn’t the weather have been like it was today?! 😩 Last photo - the two oak trees we were supposed to get married under.
