Shot a wedding yesterday and the cake cutting song was L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole & I looked at the bride and said, "this song always makes me think of the Parent Trap" to which we nodded and exchanged a knowing laugh

& then the groom said he'd never seen it... 😶

Never really been one for titles, but there are some quintessential millennial things I really love & don't mind defining my life experience.

Thanks to my husband for the impromptu photo shoot downtown tonight between pasta dinner (happy hour at 4pm so also I'm kind of a boomer?) and gelato dessert obv...

Indy & Chicago 🤩🤩

From a crazy 24-hour+ journey including flight cancellations and diversions and sleeping on freezing airport floors, to the lake, to the city (to the windows, to the walls?!"

@maggnetik & I made the most out of a 10-day adventure including family time, work time, rest time, food time; all the experiences!

Highlights:

Lake life IS the life for me. But I do love me a good city, too!! Had to rep the Boston hat though I did fall in love with Chicago and the surrounding areas... One city I hadn't had the chance to explore much until now!

United Astrology Conference only comes around once every 7 years and was a solid experience; loved representing my favorite astrology software, @luna.cloudsoftware there. Made some great connections for @celestial.curiosities ✨

Florida grass is trash and I miss northern / Midwestern grass erryday.

Staying up until 12:12am for the eclipsing could not trump sleep, but the magic of a full moon cannot be denied. 🌝

Of the many gifts astrology has given me, a reminder to look up & out & be in wonder has been one of the biggest. No need to obsess over details; awareness can often be enough.

As this eclipse portal closed, I practiced intentional acknowledgement of pieces of my physical body and psyche that remain stuck. & pushed deeper into surrender...

While my mind inquired, " but it how could I possibly go any deeper?"

I shifted energy in some extremely uncomfortable ways with a silent thread of hope of relief. Relief from pain, exhaustion, anxiety, fear, hopelessness. Hoping for relief from hopelessness... An interesting codependency rooted somewhere deep inside me.

Deep enough that I'd forgotten either was there.

I have been sitting patiently (for the most part), trusting in the integration that organically unfolds with time.

I have bathed in the frustration of that integrative progress unfolding in its own time, unbothered by my needs.

And wondering... "But is it me, holding back? Do parts of me still believe the age old story that my warrior spirit came to complete? And that the story must be an epic?" As if I don't continue surmounting obstacles, then it won't be a good-enough story?

All of this lives alongside the profound gratitude of a life well-lived, of richness in simplicity drenched in sunlight, the love of loved ones, the sound of cats' meows, the gift of breath & heartbeat...

In these words, the story of my life as told by the stars is astonishingly bright & clear: 29° Aries Sun, meant to master chaos and — yes, complete the warrior experience; North Node Pisces with the invite to learn surrender and flow; Jupiter in Taurus steadily harvesting overabundance; Gemini stellium promising to over-intellectualize the shit out of it all.

Uranus transiting natal moon... Disrupting my emotional landscape, crumbling it to pieces with a not-so-subtle reminder of my fortitude to rebuild.

& without knowing how or why... through every. single. hardship and joy... I surrender & soldier on, in reverence of life's paradoxical nature.

I remember when I used to dislike every part of me: my big forehead, huge eyes, frizzy hair, love handles,... I felt like I had no sense of style and gosh... I just really really wanted people to like me. & I thought that was the goal.

Over so many years, I have slowly learned how to simply love me for me, but it's fascinating to see how parts of me have been so latched onto old definitions, that I can so clearly see myself stuck in certain beliefs... Stillllll... After all this timeeee 🙄

Now though... I have the capacity to have fierce compassion and unconditional love for every part of me.

& what's best for me is always what's best for you, and vice versa. (cred @kellybroganmd 😘)

If we all focus on our own selves; our love, respect, trust for and in ourselves to show up the most alive we can... Can you imagine!? How is this pursuit not a major part of the foundation of life?? 🙆🏻‍♀️

Yellowstone National Park | 7.20.25

The reflection in this first photo gets me every time; there are no filters on any of the images in this carousel... And the vibrancy does not cease to amaze me. 😍

For some reason, of all the parks we visited on this trip, I was least excited about Yellowstone, and absolutely fell in love with it.

(I think I was least excited because I've tried more than once to get into the show and have not enjoyed it. My music choice here is for irony's sake lol)

It feels like being on another planet with such a unique landscape. And not being one to go for long hikes, the accessibility of everything here is so nice. There is plenty to see as you drive and you're a quick pull-over and easy walk to whatever you wanna see.

When we arrived at the Visitor's Center, Matt dropped me and my cousin off while he went to park and Old Faithful had *just* started to erupt (swipe for the video) - so we stayed for 90 minutes until the next one.

We learned lots of interesting info about how the landscape was formed... I thought a lot about how wild it is to consider you're just chillin' inside of a super volcano and one day, it's gonna erupt again, and everything will change yet again. If that happens in my lifetime, I'll have these memories to compare it to. Odd to think about. Just a few days after this, I learned about the North Rim of the Grand Canyon burning and we had just been there. It was an interesting feeling. I'll post some images of that soon.

The clarity of the water, the quality of the air, the sensation of the steam all around us here... It was like nothing I've ever experienced.

The country's (and supposedly world) oldest National Park, is definitely worth the visit! taken in Yellowstone National Park by @melineubek

Glacier National Park | 7.16.2025

We were some of the first on the trail as the sun rose, and we took our sweet time on the 6-mile round trip hike to Avalanche Lake, by way of Trail of the Cedars.

Any animal encounter makes me happy, so coming across deer was a highlight 😍 taken in Avalanche Lake by @melineubek
