If you want to start planning a fall trip for next year, or even a trip to Scotland any time of the year- hi! I’m Melissa, and as a former Londoner I’ve traveled around the UK and been to Scotland a few times and it’s such an easy flight from Boston and the East Coast.

I honestly prefer Scotland over Ireland if you’re deciding between the two, and I definitely wouldn’t try to see them both in one trip unless you want only a few of the highlights.

Send me a message to learn more about how we can work together and how you can access the incredible travel relationships I have through @fourhundredadvisornetwork .

Let’s get planning your next trip! (Believe me, even travelers will start planning their New England fall road trips now for next year as hotels get booked quickly!)

Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas was a beautiful luxury destination, but it isn’t for everyone.

Hey! My name’s Melissa, and as a former Londoner who has traveled the world I now plan travel not just for my family and I, but for my lovely clients as well!

Even though my family and I enjoyed this luxury property in the Bahamas, it’s quite unique. It’s advertised as a luxury destination, but it may not be the luxury destination you’re hoping for if you’re looking for a certain type of vacation.

I was surprised, walking in, to see that all three resorts are connected, even though they all have their own entrances. Upon entering the Grand Hyatt, which is where we stayed, you’re greeted with a beautiful front desk but also an entire casino floor that feels like you’ve stepped into the Bellagio at Las Vegas.

Not only is Grand Hyatt part of this complex, but also SLS and Rosewood. Both hotels have very different vibes, Rosewood as the most luxury option of the three, but I wouldn’t say it’s on the same level of luxury as other Rosewood properties. SLS is aimed towards adults wanting to party, so it’s an interesting mix of all three.

Baha Mar is wonderful in that it has a waterpark on property, and as guests of any resort you will have access. As a mom of a 10 month old, I thought the water park was best for children that are a bit older, and maybe not the best for younger children. Even with the incredible slides that they have, not all of them are even great for kids.

There are other nuances to this location that I wish I would’ve known before visiting, but that’s the beauty of using a travel advisor like me to help plan your next trip. I will say it’s a beautiful location, and the white, sandy beach and restaurants were incredible- but it only fits the bill for a certain client or trip you’re wanting to have.

I’ve been to so many of these destinations or have relationships with many of these properties that always help me steer my clients in the right direction- even if I haven’t had a chance to visit them all myself.

Get in touch if you want to know more about Baha Mar, or are interested and working together! taken in Baha Mar Grand Hyatt Resort & Casino by @meliss.meetsworld

Saying goodbye to summer the only way I know how…sharing one of my favorite places in the summer @chathambarsinn .

Even though I love the Cape in the fall (we’ll be heading there next month), this spot is the best place to spend your summer days on the Cape.

Working with me to help book your stay not only gets you extra perks, but even room availability that you can’t find online. There are SO many room and family options at this property, so get in touch!

Don’t let me or the lobster nachos convince you, here are a few of the other reasons you need to book your next trip here!

USA Today Ranked #1 Best Waterfront Hotel for 2026 (and also won #1 in 2022 and 2024).

USA Today: Voted Best Waterfront Restaurant for 2026.

Forbes Travel Guide: Named a Five-Star Hotel for four consecutive years through 2026, alongside a spot on the 2025 Hotel Icons list.

Condé Nast Traveler: Recognized in the Reader’s Choice Awards, including #1 Resort in Massachusetts and 2 in New England.

Boston Magazine: Voted Best Cape Cod Resort in the Best of Boston Award

Here’s what I wish I knew before I flew with Oli the first time- and did it solo when he was 10/11 weeks!

I did a TON of research before I flew from London to Chicago with him solo the first time- mostly to help my anxiety. I wanted to come home as soon as he was born, but also wanted him to have some vaccinations before we flew.

He’s now at 9 months taken over 10 flights, and quite a few of them I’ve done solo.

If you want to talk through flying with your little one, or want to escape with them but don’t know where- I work as a travel advisor and can help you every step of the way!

Any tips or tricks I left out? Leave them in the comments below!⬇️

⛱️Best Beaches for Families: *Really most beaches that are bayside will have more calm, and warmer waters
-Mayflower Beach: soft sand and tidal pools
-Sandy Neck: offers a large parking lot and food trucks
-Corporarion Beach: in a crescent shape that basically becomes a giant pool when the tide is low
-Nauset and Race Point Beach: famous for seal spotting, but both are ocean side with cooler and deeper water, and occasionally large waves

🦞Best Cape Cod Restaurants for Families:
-The Canteen: located in picturesque Ptown, this spot is casual, mostly outdoor seating. My favorite part about this restaurant is you can dip your toes in the sand while eating a delicious lobster roll!
-Mac’s on the Pier: this Wellfleet spot is right on a quiet beach, a perfect place to watch the sunset
-Chatham Bars Farm: they have the cutest farm store, child friendly festivals, and farm dinners throughout the season
**The Beach House Grill at Chatham Bars Inn: this is another spot that offers dining in the sand, and plenty of kids to run around and even roast marshmallows if you’re a guest! (Message me if you want to book with perks you can’t get booking yourself!)

🚲Best Things to Do:
-Wellfeet Drive-in Cinema: a fave of my husband and I as adults, they will always play a family friendly movie first and then a more adult focused movie for the price of one!
-Heritage Museum and Gardens: if your kids loves cars, there’s a large car collection here, and large garden spaces for your kids to run around
-Cape Cod Rail Trail: the Cape is full of these biking trails, and they’re all mostly flat and very easy for littles

My love letter to the prettiest flower there is…

This weekend was tough, I always get a little emo towards the end of summer. It doesn’t help that this weekend was also the first one I’ve had a chance to slow down, and really think about my path forward.

I’ve cherished these almost 9 months I’ve gotten to spend and be at home with Oli. I waited so long to finally be a Mom, but I’m going to have to give that up soon. The business is ramping up, and Mama has to get back to work! He’ll be starting daycare in just a few weeks, and I feel like I have to get back to reality.

That realization sunk in hard this weekend, and really knocked me down. It’s hard to feel that I’m almost losing my identity a bit with giving my responsibility up to someone else, and also trying to navigate finding myself again and who that person is now.

How does one do this? I’ll take all the help I can get!!

Thanks for listening 🩵

Here’s to another beautiful birthday on Nantucket…

If only I could have known this time last year that everything would be ok…we lost our angel twin last July. Only a few weeks after my birthday would I have the MRI to determine the procedure that attempted to save our angel twin didn’t have a negative effect on Oli.

I cried tears of joy after waiting over a long weekend for the MRI results, when they told me my scan was normal, and that Oli should continue to develop as any normal pregnancy would.

He is the greatest birthday gift I could have ever received, just like those belated MRI scan results were.

So here’s to hope, and always believing that light will eventually shine your way🩵.
