Allow me to reintroduce myself. 🤗

I’m still MJ.

A mom.
A coach.
An athlete.
A woman who has spent over a decade helping other women become healthier, stronger, and more confident.

But the order has changed.

My faith is at the forefront now.

Fitness is still here. Coaching is still here. My clients are still here. But they’re no longer the center of what I’m building or the source of my identity.

Jesus is.

Colossians 3:23–24 tells us that whatever we do, we are to work at it wholeheartedly as something done for the Lord.

And that has completely changed the way I look at this platform, my business, my body, and honestly… my life.

I used to think I needed to keep my faith over here and my fitness over there.

I don’t anymore.

If I’m coaching a woman, I want to do it for God.
If I’m training my body, I want to steward it for God.
If I’m sharing something online, I want it to point back to God.
If I’m walking through a hard season, I want to show what trusting God in the middle of it actually looks like.

So yes, you’ll still see fitness.

You’ll still see clients, transformations, training, nutrition, midlife health and everything I’ve spent years learning and teaching.

But it’ll be sprinkled throughout something much bigger.

My faith.
My testimony.
What God is teaching me.
How He’s changing my heart.
And what it looks like to surrender every area of your life to Him.

Because following Jesus isn’t one category of my life anymore.

It’s the lens through which I want to live all of it. ❤️

So hi. 👋🏼 I’m MJ.

Woman of God.
Mom.
Coach.
Athlete.

And whatever He puts in front of me next, I want to do it for Him. 🙏🏼

The more I grow in my relationship with Christ, the more I realize this journey isn’t just about avoiding obvious sin.

It’s about surrendering the little things too.

The need to be right.
The need to control.
The need for approval.
The impulse to react instead of pray.
The temptation to choose comfort over obedience.

Those are the moments that have exposed my flesh the most.

I’ve spent years learning how to discipline my body. Now God is teaching me how to discipline my heart.

That kind of transformation doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a daily choice to surrender, renew your mind, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead instead of your emotions.

Anyone else finding that the deeper you grow in your faith, the more aware you become of the areas God is still refining?

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

Merry Christmas 🤍🎄

This year looks a little different for us. We weren’t able to celebrate with my whole family since my sister’s family is sick, but we’re still finding sweetness in the day.

We spent time visiting my mom, soaking up what we could, and later we’ll head out to see the Christmas lights — choosing joy, presence, and gratitude wherever we are.

This season has been such a reminder for me that Christmas isn’t about everything going perfectly or traditions going exactly as planned. It’s about Emmanuel — God with us. Right where we are. In the quiet moments, the changes, the disappointments, and the simple blessings.

I’m so thankful for health, for my son, for family (near or far), and for the peace that comes from trusting God’s plan even when it looks different than expected.

Praying you feel His presence today — whether your Christmas is loud or quiet, full or simple, joyful or tender.

Merry Christmas from our hearts to yours ❤️✨

I thought sobriety meant learning how to live without alcohol.

But for me, God did something so much deeper.

He healed the part of me that always felt like I needed something.

Something to relax.
Something to celebrate.
Something to numb.
Something to take the edge off.
Something to escape.

And one day I realized…

I don’t need any of it anymore.

I can just be here.

Fully present.
Clear minded.
At peace.

I no longer have a life I want to escape from. ♥️

And THAT might be one of the greatest gifts God has given me through this journey.

Not just sobriety.

Freedom. 🙌🏼

Anybody else ever typed out a whole paragraph… and then felt that little nudge to delete it? 😅🙋🏼‍♀️

Because I can have a VERY good explanation. Receipts and all. lol.

But following Jesus has changed the questions I ask before I respond.

Am I trying to bring clarity… or am I trying to make sure I get the last word? Am I speaking with love, or am I letting hurt do the talking?

Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, and sometimes this is exactly where we have to practice it.

That doesn’t mean we never speak up or set boundaries. It means we let God lead us instead of letting our emotions decide for us.

I want to honor Him with my response… even when my flesh has a whole speech prepared. 🤍

For the longest time, I thought salvation was something I had to earn.

Then I started learning about Jesus and reading my Bible for myself… and understanding grace changed everything. ❤️

Romans 10:9–10 points us to believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing Him as Lord. Ephesians 2:8–9 reminds us that salvation is God’s gift, received through faith.

Repentance matters. Turning to God matters. But I can’t earn salvation through my own goodness or by getting everything right. Jesus is the one who saves me.

And the more I come to know Him, the more I want to follow Him. That obedience grows from my faith and love for Him.

Sharing this because maybe you’ve been trying to earn what He offers through grace, too. 🫶🏼

I’ve been coaching since 2013. I know my stuff, I care deeply about my clients, and I have decades of results to back it up.

But somewhere along the way, I got caught up in feeling like I had to prove all of that through social media.

Hours creating content. Overthinking everything. Letting 300 views make me question the value of what I had to offer.

Whew. That was exhausting. 😂

Now I’m usually sitting in my car, sharing what Jesus is doing in my life. One take. Nothing fancy.

And these messages are reaching people in ways I tried so hard to achieve before.

I love seeing them reach others. But what fills my heart most is that I don’t feel compelled to chase the next one. I can share what’s on my heart without letting the response determine my worth.

I still love coaching. I’m still using the gifts God gave me. And I’m grateful to serve people with Jesus at the center of my life. ❤️🙏🏼

I knew how to be disciplined. What I didn’t know was how to stop trying to control everything.

My body. My business. My schedule. How quickly things changed. How everything would work out.

I’d pray about it… then get right back to figuring out how I was going to make it happen. 😂

And girl, God has done some WORK in that part of my life.

Especially through this past year of watching my hard-earned physique change while rebuilding my health and navigating perimenopause.

I’ve continued to follow a plan. I’ve shown up. But I’ve had to accept that being consistent doesn’t mean I get to choose the timeline or guarantee the outcome.

That was hard for someone who was used to answering everything with more effort.

And it went way beyond fitness.

God asked me to step out in obedience before I knew how things would work out. To loosen my grip on things I’d built my identity around. To let myself rest without finding another task to justify my day.

I’ve learned that I can take responsibility for my life without carrying it like everything depends on me.

I still have goals. I still care about my health. I still do the work.

But my body doesn’t get to determine my worth, and my productivity doesn’t get to determine whether I deserve rest.

There are still things I don’t have figured out. And somehow, I have more peace now than I did when I was trying to manage every detail.

If you see yourself in this, bring that to Him. You can be honest about what you’re scared will happen if you loosen your grip.

You don’t have to have surrender all figured out before you pray about it. ♥️

Save this for the days you feel like everything depends on you.

Almost 38 pounds lost. But that’s not the transformation I’m most proud of. ❤️

When this woman came to me, her back hurt. Her hips hurt. Her knees hurt. Even getting up off the floor after playing with her children was difficult.

She was a busy working mom juggling motherhood, her career, and everything else life was throwing at her.

But here’s what I want women to understand…

God didn’t give us these bodies simply to make them smaller. He gave us bodies to steward.

To have the strength to serve.
The energy to show up for those we love.
And the ability to be present in the lives He’s entrusted to us.

So we didn’t chase quick fixes, extreme diets, or perfection.

We built a plan around HER life, focusing on nutrition, strength, recovery, consistency, and navigating the messy weeks without giving up.

Eight months later…

🔥 Nearly 38 pounds lost.
🔥 Over 12 inches gone from her waist and hips.
🔥 Stronger, healthier, and more confident.

But what brought me to tears was reading her final check-in.

She told me she can’t even remember the last time her body hurt. Her mental health has improved, and everything about daily life feels easier.

THAT is the transformation. 🥹❤️

Discipline isn’t about punishing yourself for where you are. It’s about faithfully showing up for what God has entrusted to you.

And grace is understanding that one difficult day doesn’t erase months of consistency.

For years, so much of my identity was wrapped up in what my body looked like and what I could accomplish physically.

But God has been teaching me that our worth was never meant to be found in our appearance.

Our bodies are gifts, but they were never meant to become our gods.

Your body is not an idol to worship or an enemy to fight. It’s a gift to steward.

When we stop chasing a smaller body and start pursuing a healthier, stronger life, the transformation becomes so much bigger than the scale.

This is why I coach the way I do. My mission is so much bigger than weight loss.

All glory to God. 🙏🏽🙌🏼

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

The moment you feel that tug between what you WANT to do and what you know God is calling you to do… that’s where surrender becomes a choice.

I know that tug.

Wanting to defend myself. Wanting recognition. Wanting to control the outcome. Wanting God to change my circumstances while I hold tightly to how I think everything should happen. 😅

For a long time, I could justify just about anything if I wanted it badly enough.

But growing closer to Jesus has made me more aware of those excuses—and more willing to let Him correct me.

Galatians 5:17 describes the conflict between the flesh and the Spirit. Feeling that struggle doesn’t mean your faith is fake. You can bring it to Him honestly.

“Lord, I want my own way right now. Help me follow Yours.”

You don’t have to wait until obedience feels easy to take the next step. And you don’t have to take it in your own strength.

The same Spirit who produces love, patience, gentleness, and self-control in us helps us respond differently in those everyday moments.

For me, surrender has meant letting God change where I find my worth, what I chase, and how I respond when life doesn’t go according to my plan.

It’s personal. It’s humbling. And it reaches far beyond what people see on social media.

We aren’t earning His love through obedience. We’re responding to the love He has already given us. 🤍

Where are you feeling that tug to surrender?

You can want to change your body without letting it take over your life. 🤍

For years, I let my physique, the scale, and the pursuit of “better” take up way too much space in mine. God has done a lot of work in my heart around that, and it’s changed how I care for myself AND how I coach women.

You can have goals and keep God first.
You can work toward losing weight and still appreciate your body today.
You can build discipline while giving yourself grace.

And you can stop treating every imperfect day like a reason to start over.

I’m looking for 2 women in midlife who are ready to break the cycle of yo-yo dieting and build habits that support lasting results.

We’ll work on nourishing your body, getting stronger, and finding consistency through the busy weeks, changing seasons, and days when motivation just isn’t there.

Custom nutrition and training. Weekly check-ins. Honest conversations. And support as you learn to care for the body God gave you without making it the center of your worth.

I don’t take on every woman who reaches out. Coaching is a partnership, and I want to make sure my approach fits what you need—and that you’re ready to put it into practice.

DM me READY to find out more. We’ll chat about your goals, what’s been getting in the way, and whether we’re a good fit. 🤍

Whew. This one is personal.

For a long time, I would’ve told you fitness was simply my passion.

And it was… but somewhere along the way, it also became my identity.

My mood depended on the scale.

My confidence depended on the mirror.

My peace depended on whether I followed the plan perfectly.

I called it discipline, dedication and “wanting to be my best.”

But if I’m being completely honest, my body had become an idol.

God didn’t ask me to stop caring for my body.

He asked me to stop worshiping it.

I still train.
I still care about my health.
I still believe discipline matters.

But fitness has a different place in my life now.

It’s something I do.

It is not who I am.

My body is a gift God gave me to steward—not a god I was created to serve.

And there is so much freedom in finally putting it back in its proper place. 🤍
