Thinestra is making waves in the indie horror world!

Featured on the Film Threat homepage, Nathan Hertz’s feature is being called “The result is the stuff of nightmares…” This bold indie body-horror film blends festive imagery, dark humor, and a chilling look at society’s obsession with perfection.

Michelle Macedo delivers a powerhouse performance as Penny, a young woman trapped by her own body image struggles — but she’s not alone. Her twin, Melissa Macedo, appears as her doppelganger, creating a haunting mirror effect that intensifies the psychological horror. Together, the Macedo sisters portray the terrifying transformation as the mysterious weight-loss drug Thinestra takes hold, turning confidence into chaos and desire into monstrosity.

Perfect for fans of indie horror, body horror, psychological thrillers, and festive horror, Thinestra proves that low-budget films can deliver high-concept scares. With its mix of holiday horror, twin dynamics, and dark social commentary, the film is already gaining attention for its audacious storytelling and unforgettable performances.

Mark your calendars — Thinestra hits streaming 4/14!
