Happy Monday FB family I am back and I am well 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
By the grace of God I have overcome the worst Sinus infection/ flare up I have had to date. The headaches the fatigue the weakness I didn’t have any energy. Sunday throughout Wednesday I was in bed! I’m never sick like this. Wednesday by then all I wanted was to feel human again and that’s when I had a spiritual awakening. I had spilt my cereal 🥣 all over myself and sheets from a violent coughing fit. But it wasn’t about the bed sheets, it was about me that I needed to change my mindset.
I thank God for opening my eyes and for coming to me in that time. I am blessed 🥲 I am loved by God.
God is more than a Sunday, more than a few hours a week praying. Go to Him in everything.
God is the Essence of every part of my day 🙏🏽❤️

After days of flat packing assembly. This is my end result! No I’m not having anyone come round for dinner- only a very select few! But nah this almost killed me the fiddly stupidity of these things are not for the weak, and no I’m not helping you do yours, and no definitely not doing this again, I’m paying the assembly fee!
But I rant to end with look at what determination and focus can do! I’m very, very proud of myself. 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 by @mells_desserts

In all honesty I’m a proud mama. I had a hellish month gathering all the clothes and creating space for her to mature and understand this next part of her chapter.
Off to High School we go.

…And just like that we’ve ended primary school. The journey was a hell of a ride. Emotional support got us where we are today.

I’m feeling grateful and blessed that Lilly has left school with great SATs results and she’s also got a great report.
I am so proud of her growth, she’s overcome so much and she’s as smart as anything! Love my girlie you can do great things through Christ who strengthens you.

I ended up going through a kitchen department in a store. Future husband these are the kind of kitchens I like. If I’m baking and cooking I need a lot of space 🤩😆😉 by @mells_desserts

Thank you Chicago you really out did yourself this time!
Irving Park neighbours you were all lovely and helpful.
I had a great time, no words can sum up how much fun I had!
When I originally came to visit in 2019 the pure stress I was under and struggled with life. To the woman who I am today, they are not the same person.
On every visit I am reminded how innovative and hard working the people of Chicago are. Chicagoans are built on a different kind of foundation that others don’t understand. The creativity and craft from the entrepreneurs I admire.
My heart is still set on my move just so I can bake and share my baked goods and also have meditation sessions readily available for everyone too.

Thank you Milwaukee for an amazing day! The food I’m all about the food and the food fall had everything!
Anytime I’m over here I’m spoilt for choice. Heading back to my apartment for a double shot of tequila tequila lol 😜 some food and cake 🙌🏽🤪🎉✨🤩🥂

No matter what I’m doing or where I am Chicago always comes to me! This picture kept coming up on my laptop screen today… I was like wait a minute… why do I recognise this place… when I looked closer the skyline then noticed Navy Pier.

It has been a long time in the waiting… but I’m happy to share with you all my FB family that me an Lilly are moving into our own home.
All I can honestly say is that waiting on God and His perfect timing is a real thing. And while I’ve waited I’ve Prayed, Worshiped and Praised Him in all the waiting.
7 years may seem like a long time to us, but time has no meaning to Our Lord.
