Itty Bitty belonged to one of my best friends, @wigy5 …I inherited her when Helen passed away a couple of years ago.

Itty needs to have dental surgery to remove some teeth that have been causing issues for a while. I’ve been putting this surgery off for some time because of Itty’s heart condition (stage four heart murmur). Unfortunately, time is against us and if we don’t schedule the surgery soon it could cause additional heart problems. I learned during today’s vet visit that she has lost a little weight, which may be related to her teeth making it more difficult to eat.

I have so much anxiety regarding this procedure and all the decisions that have to be made surrounding having her put under anesthesia.

Because of her heart condition this is considered a high-risk procedure. We’ve consulted with a dentistry specialist over at MASH animal hospital. They were very thorough and reassuring that they would make every effort to make the surgery a success.

I look at Itty Bitty as one of my best friends’ babies. Taking care of her is how I honor Helen.

The cost of the surgery is the only thing holding me back. If you’re able to make a contribution, we would be so appreciative of the help. If you can’t make a donation, please consider sharing our fundraiser. I have updated our goal amount to reflect the amount quoted to us as the likely cost of the surgery. A link can be found in my bio.
