I feel like sometimes, reparations feel too close to home. Fighting for them for oneself can leave little room to learn & imagine together.

Mes amixs me connaissent comme étant un homme de mots et d'histoires. Pour ce post, qui existe dans cet autre part qui trop souvent efface, je serai économe.

Meloe, j'en ris, tu sais, d'avoir quarante ans. Quarante ans frérot ! Et d'apparaître à certains, comme ça, comme abouti. C'est drôle d'avoir poursuivi ainsi ma liberté; et que ce soit finalement la reconnaissance qui me rattrappe.

Alors je m'y baigne. Celles qui m'inspirent et me portent depuis la naissance me l'avaient dit : Les rituels nous portent et nous ancrent. L'un d'entre eux, ce sont ces longues listes de gratitudes. Alors :

Merci, ô ciel, ô mer, de m'avoir permis de vivre cet âge si doux. Si (re)posé. Merci à mes soeurs, à ma famille, à mes amix et à mon amour. Que c'est beau d'être aimé et apprecié. We are very happy to announce our next event: UNTEACHABLE - an evening of crash courses & literature.
In this unique lecture-performance, members and friends of X COLLECTIVE X @_x_collective_x_ invite you to hear, watch, feel, and loop through felt reflections on Black, queer, trans, and crip* art.
At the end, you might learn that you never really did before.

The event will happen on Thursday, the 19th of June at 7:30 pm. You can purchase your ticket for 8 € on our onlineshop (link in bio) or in the shop. If you can’t afford a ticket right now send us an email to events@shesaid.de to reserve a solidarity ticket. The event will be in English!

About X COLLECTIVE X:

X COLLECTIVE X is an artistic collective gathering Black, Afrodescendant, queer, trans*, dis/abled, and neurodivergent artists and writers. Since its inception in 2018, the collective has published the zine Blackity Black Black in collaboration with Cassandra Press (New York) and Luma Westbau (Zürich), and the poetry and letters collection Slayeth Love with Editions Assemblages (Münster, 2024).
It has also curated residencies, readings, poetry events, and masterclasses centering divergent and dis/abled art forms.
