We host soulful quests and pilgrimages for men, join us in Morocco this november for the next one.

This reel gives a beautiful glimpse into our time in North Wales this year. We're excited to journey as a group of brothers to the north of Africa in a couple of months.

This Wilderness Immersion will be a pilgrimage through the Atlas Mountains of Morocco for a week of culture, community, and connection.

Our professional Mountain Leader and a crew of Muleteers will guide us up the unexplored village of Tizi Oucheg, high above the Ourika valley, giving you a unique insight into the lifestyle of the Berber people, whose villages cling to the arid hillsides.

We will explore the lesser known valleys around Tizi Oucheg and visit some sacred sites, then head up onto the Yagour Plateau for our wilderness camp. At 2000m, the name “Yaggour” means “Sacred”, and is home to some of Morocco’s oldest rock engravings, and a place of pilgrimmage for millenia, dominated as it is by the 3600m pyramidal peak of Adrar Meltzin.

If conditions are right then we may attempt to summit this iconic and infrequented peak from our wilderness camp.

On your return to Marrakech you will have experienced something which many will have missed – you will have seen first-hand how the fascinating Berbers have lived here for generations, and you will also have connected with the sacred landscape in a way that few visitors manage to do today.

Camping equipment, food, and transport from Marrakesh all included for an easeful experience.

Cae Mabon, nestled in ancient oak woodland on a hillside in North Wales, is more than just a setting - it’s the spiritual home of Menspedition itself.

This place hums with old energy. You'll feel it the moment you arrive.

At its heart stands the roundhouse. Around it, hand-built, Hobbitesque cabins will home you for your nights, with a stream gently gurgling just outside to lull you to sleep.

Oak, hazel and holly line the path to a lake so still and stunning it’ll take your breath away - twice, if you're up for the morning plunge!

And yes, there’s a hot tub. Fed by the same mountain stream. For soaking, softening, and sinking into stories beneath the stars.

“I also left feeling ready to be a father, having shone some healing and revealing light into hidden tensions and resentment towards aspects of my upbringing and I saw this as a real testament to the power of what men’s work could support someone to work through.

I came away from that first Menspedition having met parts of myself - even touching my soul - and having made some new true brotherly connections with honourable men who had committed to work on themselves as well.

What was clear from the reflections and feedback from many of the men who’d been there, was that this kind of work was needed in the world - so on we went with the Menspedition. “

Lawrence is one of the lead facilitators on our retreats. His background in developmental coaching and group facilitation gives him the perfect set of skills to manage the often challenge role of steering the ship on our retreats.

What does masculine strength look like in today’s world?

This is not a trick question, and there is no simple answer.

Strong can feel aggressive, over-powering, violent. We’re told we should be vulnerable, yet stand our ground, understanding and accommodating while knowing what we need and speaking up about them (our needs!).

Navigating modern life is tough. Let’s face it.

Our recipe for success?? Getting together with a bunch of other switched on, awake and aware men who are holding these same questions.

There is no one right answer, there is no one path to walk.

But together, though messy and non-linear, we are finding our way.
