Hope has a name.

That name is Jesus.

When Jesus conquered death, that changed everything.

Shame says “hide.” Jesus says “come.”

God is inviting you to surrender, obedience, and purpose.

Chicago Mission Trip 2026 ☀️

I went with my youth group from Hillside church on a mission trip to Chicago on June 15-21. We partnered with AIM and Chicago Dream Center. We had the opportunity to serve the Lord in Illinois by sharing God’s love and truth.

We worked with a ministry organization called Grace and Peace. We served by working in their grocery store to give food out to those in need and sorted items in their basement.

We Served New Life Covenant Church with Jesus Closet, Manna for Life, and Bridge 2 Life for homeless outreach. We distributed food, clothes, and shoes. We also got the opportunity to pray and connect with the homeless.

We also helped clean up after three tornados that recently hit the town of Streator, Illinois. It broke my heart to see that over 40 houses were destroyed, but it was a blessing that no lives were lost.

Lastly we served at Reborn Community Church. We distributed food, water, prayer, and information on how to get connected with their church.

Being in Chicago opened my eyes to see how many people still need the love of Jesus outside of my everyday life. It challenged me to be uncomfortable and grew my dependence on the Lord. God is at work and I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of what He is doing in Chicago. Thank you to the Chicago Dream Center and Minnesota AIM for making this happen and a huge thank you to those who donated towards the cost of this trip. I’m so excited to see what God has in store for us all.
