📍Chicago, Illinois

Thank you God for the opportunity and the blessing to come on this missions trip and serve your people. This trip has changed my perspective in so many ways.

We were able to serve different ministries and people this week through sorting clothes, packaging various items, cleaning, handing out food, serving at a food pantry, and much more. God really moved in me over this trip and as uncomfortable as it got at points, it just strengthened my trust and confidence in Him.

As fun as it was, at times it was very heavy. Some lost homes to tornadoes, while some were on the streets struggling with addiction or mental illness. The blessing it was to be able to pray over them and serve them was incredible. We have to bring the light of Jesus where there is none. Again, I am beyond blessed to have gotten to experience a beautiful city while serving and obeying the Lord. 🩷

All you have to do is say yes.

Incredible week spent serving in Chicago🌉

With the Chicago Dream Center through AIM, what a reminder that God is moving everywhere and that His love can change lives! We had the opportunity to serve those experiencing homelessness by handing out food, care packages, clothing, and making sure everyone we met received prayer and encouragement. Some of the most meaningful moments came from simply listening to people’s stories and reminding them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

We also traveled to Streator, Illinois, after three tornadoes had torn through the community, we spent time helping clear acres of debris, glass, and insulation. Only by Gods grace, there were no deaths.

Served at Reborn Community Church near West Garfield Park, provided water, food, prayer, and info on how to get connected and involved in the church community.

At the New Life Covenant’s Food Shelf and Jesus Closet, we sorted donated foods and clothing for less fortunate people, and met so many amazing people along the way.

This trip challenged me to get uncomfortable, love others well, strengthen friendships, and see God’s faithfulness in new ways. Thank you to AIM, Hillside, and everyone who donated and prayed to make this possible.

If God is calling you to serve, say yes. You never know how He’ll use you to impact others, and change your own heart in the process.

All glory to God. 🫶🏼
