It only took two monks, an Iraq War combat veteran, Alyssa Milano, Jeannie Mai, and some of the world’s leading menopause specialists to get me talking about perimenopause and the women’s health crisis surrounding it.

Honored to support these phenomenal women.

It has been one week since we opened our doors and welcomed filmmakers into our very first FALA Fest: Shorts Edition!

The day was packed with excellent films, inspiring Q&A’s, a thought-provoking panel and Keynote speaker and a huge celebration at the end. Thank you so much to all of the filmmakers who trusted us with their work and showed up, not only for themselves but also for each other, to our volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the event a success, to our selection committee who curated a beautiful day of film, and to our panelists and Keynote speaker who brought expertise, advice, and motivation. Thank you also to our moderators, the FALA Board, and our fearless and mighty Festival Director Parker Ronan!

Congratulations to all of the winners. We are so excited to do it again next year!

❤️ A little goes a long way. A donation can save a life.

Thank you to our current and past Performers Governors, @thekimestes, @katelinderyr, and @mskelseyscott, and their PGECs for being open to bringing this lifesaving event to our @televisionacad community.

Thank you to @kimberstanphill for being willing to share her story, to Libby Slate and Juan Morales for helping us tell it, and to @branzcurry for suggesting the article.

And, of course, none of this would have been possible without Victoria Smart’s efforts with the Television Academy and @bornredhead’s tireless work with @uclabloodandplateletcenter. ❤️

🩸 Join us for our 3rd Blood Drive with @uclahealth!

📅 Monday, October 19th ⏰ 10 AM–3 PM 📍 Television Academy Theatre Lobby

Every donation makes a difference. Help us make this drive a success!

Thank you, @ucpsandiego, for having me back for the 43rd United Cerebral Palsy Luncheon! 💙

As you can tell, this “celebrity waiter” gig is tough work! 😅 Spending the day on beautiful Coronado Island with this beautiful-hearted bunch, serving generous donors and supporting such an important cause… it’s a hard job, but somebody’s got to do it!

This year, I brought backup, my rescue pup, Millie! 🐾❤️ They say never work with animals or children, but I never listen when it comes to charity.

Millie raised nearly $150 all on her own and even got a bunch of stuffies donated to animal rescue, all while being chauffeured around by @sandiegocityfirefighters ! 🚒🐶 Talk about working the room!

This year was extra special because we also got to hear just how much United Cerebral Palsy San Diego meant to Peter Kwong and to witness a donation made in his memory. ❤️

So grateful to be part of a day filled with generosity, compassion, laughter and so many big hearts. Thank you, @wyndascott for letting me serve again and be of service, and thank you to everyone who gave so generously!

Over the last 50 years, Habitat for Humanity has served more than 62 million people across all 50 U.S. states and more than 70 countries. 🏠

On Thursday, they celebrated their 50th anniversary—and rather than throwing themselves a party, ReBUILD LA @habitatla brought together entertainment industry leaders, Palisades and Malibu homeowners, volunteers, and community members to support long-term recovery efforts following the devastating LA fires.

So great to see Jo-An, Mike, and Styles from ReBUILD LA, who we collaborated with for last year’s @coasttocoasttalent Holiday Charity Event, literally lift a wall with @sugarrayleonard, compare abs with my upcoming holiday movie hubby @therealdavidchokachi, run into @arlenescarpeta, who I worked with on Discovering Ella, and @katelinderyr, our @televisionacad Performers Co-Governor. I also finally got to meet Lee from @wallmanpr IRL!

And I can now safely say…I know how to swing a hammer. 🔨😂

Here’s to 50 years of building homes, communities, and hope—and to everyone helping LA rebuild. ❤️🏠
