Fall in Charleston looks like oyster roasts, dinner at @leonsoystershop, and a night out with some seriously inspiring women šŸ‚šŸ¦ŖšŸ„‚

Loved getting to spend the evening with @greencompassglobal and fellow female creators - good food, good conversations, and a pretty perfect way to kick off the season. šŸ¤

After struggling with postpartum anxiety no one had prepared her for, Meredith Cook found relief in hemp and clean formulation. She turned that into @greencompassglobal, growing the company from zero to $40 million in two years, almost entirely by word of mouth. by @meredithcookgc

The American Dream is still very much alive.

When your belief becomes bigger than your fear and bigger than yourself, you take the risk. You step forward anyway. Through it all, you stay rooted in where you came from, because that’s what keeps you grounded as you rise. by @meredithcookgc

… …. For quite some time now, we’ve been quietly working on something new.

Not because the market needs more, but because we believe PEOPLE DESERVE BETTER.

At the heart of everything we create is a simple belief:
products should raise the standard, not just follow the market.

This one has been thoughtfully developed to meet the standards we refuse to compromise on -
USDA Organic, third-party tested, and identity tested.

And I can say this with confidence:

There is nothing like it currently on the market.

It’s innovative.
It’s something we’ve been working on for quite a while.
And I truly believe it has the potential to be life changing.

So now I’m curious…

What do you think I’m holding?

Drop your guesses below šŸ‘‡

Hint: it’s something we’ve never done before.

And just for fun —
the first person who guesses correctly will receive the product when it launches.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with. šŸ‘€ taken in North Carolina by @meredithcookgc

Happy National Inventors Day!

Some inventions don’t start in a lab, they start in the soil. 🌱

Grown from the earth. Elevated by technology. Held to unmatched standards.

Clean, traceable, third-party tested and created for real life.

For sleep. For calm. For focus. For balance.

Nature + innovation, working together to change lives.

Here’s to the farmers. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø taken in North Carolina by @meredithcookgc

January 9.
My sister and my 30th birthday.

That was the day I got the call that my dad was in the hospital. We went to see him and after a long, brave fight, he didn’t make it.

We didn’t grow up with much money but we grew up with so much love.

We learned what it meant to care for people. To be the helper. To love your neighbor. To work hard. To give grace, especially when life was heavy and pressure was high.

My dad never broke character, because it wasn’t a character at all. It was simply who he was.

He loved Mr. Rogers and would remind us, ā€œI like you just the way you are.ā€
He called home every day from the Harris Teeter landline to see what we needed.
He drove a beat up truck.
He coached the teams.
He gave quietly, with whatever he had.
He opened his heart to anyone, from anywhere.
He never judged.
A hippie at heart, through and through.

Dad- you are woven into my story.
You are forever part of my why.

I’m walking onto a plane to Washington, D.C.
If you had told the stay at home mom version of me years ago that this would be my life- working with Congress, advocating for regulation, helping shape history- I never would have believed you.

But here’s what I DO believe now:
When purpose meets courage, ordinary people do extraordinary things.

This isn’t about a title or a moment.
It’s about impact.
It’s about standing up for safety, transparency, and the generations coming after us.
It’s about believing that your voice- yes, YOUR voice can help move systems, shift policy, and change outcomes.

I’m deeply grateful for the believers and the change makers who said yes before it was popular. For the women and men who built this from living rooms and kitchen tables. For the voices behind this movement who understand that grassroots doesn’t mean small- it means rooted.

As we head into 2026, I couldn’t be more energized to stand alongside so many advocates who know this work matters.

Never underestimate what moms can do when they’re fueled by purpose.
We don’t just show up- we change the world.

A few years ago in St. Thomas, I overheard a man and his son received a call that his dad had passed away while they were out on a sailboat.

He made last minute travel plans to make the funeral. The airline told them his luggage wouldn’t make the flight.

I was flying from a family vacation straight into a Green Compass roadshow, I wouldn’t be home for another 2 weeks but in that moment, nothing else mattered.

We realized we were from the same small town. Hello universe! I stepped forward and offered to take his bag. He wrote his name and number on the back of a receipt, shoved a few things in his son’s backpack, handed me his luggage and ran. Two strangers, one moment of trust.

That bag traveled with me from the Caribbean to the East Coast, across to the West Coast, and back home until we finally met and I gave it back.

We hugged.
We both knew it mattered.

Sometimes the world doesn’t ask for big gestures, just a willing heart.

Do the good.
Pay attention.
It always starts with one.

THE #1 piece of advice from every founder I’ve talked to:

Keep going.

If you’ve been through it, this probably rings true. If you’re in the thick of it, this is your reminder.

This was an opera, Carmen.
With traveling experts.
And thousands watching.

It started as a dare and was completely out of my comfort zone.
Everyone carried something, just at different times.
No one struggled alone, and no one struggled all at once.

Some were injured.
I had ZERO experience, was newly pregnant, and so sick.
Each of us had our moment but the goal stayed the same
When I forgot the words, someone whispered to mouth ā€œpeas and carrots.ā€ IYKYK
When I missed a step, they carried me through it.
When someone else skipped a beat, another filled the space.
No one could tell because we had each other’s backs.

I learned what community looks like.
