Where do I even start? As I try to put into words how much this church and community have meant to me, several words begin flooding my mind: honored, humbled, amazed, shocked...and the list could go on.

But, the word that comes to mind over them all is simply this: GRATEFUL.
- I am grateful to have been a part of the work God is doing in this church and community.
- I am grateful to have seen so many lives changed.
- I am grateful to have persevered through so many trials and hardships because of the fruit that was born.
- I am grateful to have preached to a people who love and desire to know the word.
- I am grateful to have seen a church love my family and kids so well.
- I am grateful to have been a part of a church that continually changed for six years for the sake of reaching more people.

Above all, I am grateful to have had the honor to build lasting relationships with some of the greatest people this side of heaven. It has taken me three weeks just to read through all the letters written to us. I have cried, laughed, and even just shaken my head as I've considered the blessings of this season of life and ministry.

Westside Baptist Church will always be our family, and for that, I am forever grateful.

Emily Nunn took this picture almost six years ago. We had no clue what God had in store for us then.

One thing is certain: God has good plans. Follow him. TREASURE him. It's not easy, but man, it is worth more than any comfort this world could offer. by @merricknunn

London... what an amazing city with so much history. In the midst of it all, there is a small church. This church is where a man named John Newton pastored for 27 years. He is the author of one of the most beloved hymns, "Amazing Grace." If you know his story, you know why this song poured out of his heart.

While in the chapel, our mission team, along with our missionaries, sang "Amazing Grace." With tears, my mind was flooded with thoughts.

1. God’s grace stands the test of time. He saves sinners like John Newton...and he saves sinners like me. "I once was lost, but now I’m found. Was blind, but now I see." Praise the Lord for his grace. Unearned, undeserved, unrepayable. Grace.

2. In the "fastest city in the world," people seem preoccupied with just about everything except their true need. While in London, we saw all that the world seems to have to offer... and yet our real need can only be found through Christ. I’m reminded of my need to run quickly to the throne of grace...

3. We live in a world that needs to hear about the amazing grace of our God. Being overseas while watching and hearing about all the stuff going on in MN was difficult. Our world cares little for order, authority, respect, and even understanding. We are quick to make judgments, pronounce verdicts, and call for things we often know very little about... and yet, we have a God who is the opposite.
- He is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
- He is a God of absolute truth and accuracy, not assumption or conjecture.
- He is a God of order, not chaos.

There are so many things I could say from singing one song in one small chapel, seemingly unnoticed by those who walk by it... We live in a world that is too busy to notice the one whom life is all about. And so often... I do the same thing.

Amazing Grace... Lord, grant it to us. Grant it to our country. Grant it to our world. by @merricknunn

Happy Veteran’s Day!!! I’m grateful to be a part of a family with men who served (Gary Nunn and Nick Nunn)!!

Ellis made a note for my Dad (Papaw — who he referred to as Gary for some reason in this note 🤣). Enjoy! by @merricknunn

The Lord has blessed Westside Baptist Church in so many ways, and yet, I’ve never been more excited to see how the Lord is going to work.

Our men’s discipleship groups met this morning. 55 men have signed up to be in a group and pursue Christ together.

I’m reminded of the quote by John Wesley, “Give me 50 men who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven upon earth.”

By God’s grace, we pray it be so.

Almost 5 years ago to the date, the Lord called Braden Hilton and Emily Hilton to Westside Baptist Church. When he first got here, we didn’t even have a handful of college students. And yet, the Lord has been gracious.

Tonight is The Gathering kickoff (our college worship service). The Lord has been faithful.

5 years!!!! It’s hard to believe that today marks the five year anniversary of starting as the Lead Pastor at Westside Baptist Church. I could never have imagined that we’d see the Lord do all that he’s done during this time. It hasn’t always been easy, but every second of it has been worth it.

By his grace, this is only the beginning. by @merricknunn

The news hits hard tonight as I read that one of my ministry heroes passed. Dr. Shaddix truly set the standard for what it means to preach expositional and Christ-centered sermons. I’m thankful for his friendship and the many times I was privileged to glean from his wisdom.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” - 2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭ by @merricknunn
