Today was one of those days I know I’ll carry in my heart forever.

My son and my daughter’s boyfriend, Torian, both made the decision to be baptized, and I truly could not be more proud of them.

As a mother, watching my son make this decision on his own means more to me than I can put into words. There was no pressure, no expectation — just his own desire to know God, grow closer to Him, and pursue a relationship with Him. To me, this is one of the most important decisions he will ever make.

There is such a deep sense of peace that comes with knowing that no matter what this world brings him, he will never have to walk through it alone. He has a guide when he feels lost, strength when life feels heavy, comfort when he is hurting, and a place to turn when he doesn’t know what to do. More than anything, I pray he always remembers where to go when life gets hard — back to God.

And Torian, I am so grateful God brought you into our lives. Watching you take this step in your faith and choose to pursue God is something I deeply respect. It gives me so much hope and gratitude to see you growing into a man who desires to lead with faith, love, and purpose in your relationship with my daughter.

Today wasn’t just about being baptized. It was about choosing a life with God at the center.
