As a company headquartered in Switzerland, we open our doors every year for the Nationaler Zukunftstag (National Future Day). It’s a chance for kids to discover what we do and for us to get a refreshing dose of curiosity and energy from the next generation!

After a full tour of our building, today’s group joined hands-on workshops with our electronics and industrial design teams, enjoyed a well-earned pizza lunch and even watched an exclusive Meteodrone flight demonstration. On Tuesday, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica with devastating 185 mph winds, causing widespread flooding, mudslides, and infrastructure damage. Communities across Jamaica, Haiti, and eastern Cuba are facing significant impacts—with long-term effects likely for agriculture, energy, tourism, and transport.

Another milestone for Meteomatics!

We’re now an official host company for vocational training in Switzerland!
Our first apprentice will join us in August 2026 as an Application Developer, working at the core of our web team, contributing to MetX and other key applications that power weather intelligence around the world.

Vocational training is one of Switzerland’s greatest strengths, as it combines hands-on experience with professional education, helping young professionals build solid careers in high-tech industries. As a host company based in St. Gallen, we contribute to the region’s rich innovation ecosystem by training the next generation of tech talent locally.
