Our friends at @raclinmurphymuseum are making some big moves on campus! We are excited to work alongside them while they transition to their new space.

Pictured is our crew installing Ursula von Rydingsvard’s “Maltuka II” at the Charles B. Hayes sculpture park.

Keep your eyes peeled as RMMA opens later this year!

Reach is in its home, sweet home, Chicago!

After many months of serious planning and coordination, we are so pleased with the end result of this install!
We are honored to have a hand in introducing travelers to Chicago’s public art scene via being apart of the installation team for this work.

Congratulations to the artists, @hankwillisthomas @cobykennedy and a major thanks to to O’Hare and the city for their support in pre-planning and job execution @fly2ohare @chicagodcase . Thanks also to the team at @chicagoflyhouse for working alongside us.

Tomorrow is International Sculpture Day!

We talk think about, talk about and work with sculpture on the daily at Methods & Materials. From intricate installations to pick-&-place pieces, we are proud to work with artwork in the public sphere, museums, and in private collections.

How do you connect with sculpture?

Pictured is a Deborah Butterfield installed by us in Downtown Chicago at the former Grant Park (now Millennium Park) back in the 90s.

Meet Leonardo, a holder of the Guinness World Record title for having the best-preserved dino remains—What a resume!

The presence of flesh on Leo’s body makes a custom crate an absolute necessity to protect his beautiful mummified self during any future travel.

You can learn more about Leo through the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis’ website.

A big thank you to the @childrensmuseum for letting us spend time with this exciting specimen.

Hands-on rigging and installation: suspended by helicopter and skillfully handled by our crew.

Almost 29 years ago, we installed 17 Botero sculptures in Chicago’s Grant Park.

Check out this selection of images by Janet Ginsburg, who documented this massive move.

Experience matters.

Sad to see one of our favorite projects leave Chicago. Hans Haacke’s “Gift Horse”, your next venue is very lucky.
