📖 Debut book "Between Love & Grief: Pet Loss & Healing through Poetry" 🔗 ⤵️

POSTS STORIES REELS

🌈 my debut book is finally here (link in bio 🔗).

🐕 a 3 mo old shelter dog would come into my life and her love showed me the interconnectedness of this life, to us, the universe. 15 yrs later the grief from her passing would change me in ways i have yet to fully know. today's book release falls on what would have been Thaeda's 17th birthday 🎈

✍️ this book is about pet loss; but also about loss...every loss we grieve... the love given and received. there are no boundaries. love and grief is the same whether you grieve a pet or person.

📖 this book is healing at the intersection of storytelling and poetry.

🤍 thank you for your kind support. if the book resonates w/ you, please leave a review on Amazon.

..............................................................................................
she is the sound of sorrow wailing in the night when the sunlovers sleep, the resounding echo of grief spilling from chasms deep.

let the monsters come on all hallows' eve with their teeth and claws, when before her darkened visage back to shadows they shall withdraw.

she is the shrouding mist clinging to lost souls in days that onward climb, through life's dark corridors where no light shines upon time.

in her eyes you shall find darkened fields of melancholy, a labyrinth leading no where but misery's abysmal sea.

her nightmares shall consume and enthrall those that before her come, tis nothing left to fear for grief has made corpse of her once human heart numb.

.......................................................................................................
the autumn moon sees all faults and accepts anyway, a love born since the origin of all my days.

many years ago i whispered secrets to her when time was long and sweet, as time went by she kept her watchful eye on my successes and defeats.

as feet traversed across life’s divergent paths i was never truly alone, she was my north star in the darkness of life’s unknown.

as the aging hands of time touch upon skin and pain delves deeper within, together we weep as her moonlight touches upon my skin.

as another year comes closer to its end i still see the haze of yesteryears, when in the dark a child of 5 looked to sky to face her fears.

the moon has a knowing before all things were set in place, her fulcrum ever balancing uncertainties with quiet grace.

now a lifetime has passed with naught a word exchanged betwixt us two, yet she is the silent fortitude that has always seen me through. 🌙 @mezzo.strada
