Amazing Maestro of the Movies concert at the Hollywood Bowl on an absolutely perfect night with wonderful friends. Always my favorite concert of the year, especially when John conducted it. The past few years, he has not been well enough to conduct. But this year he made a surprise appearance and conducted the orchestra in an encore of the imperial march! A true only in LA moment, and not a dry eye in the house.

Today would have been Indy’s 14th birthday, but at the end of March his lung tumor got the better of him, and we helped him cross the rainbow bridge.
He was not an easy dog- he was mischievous, agressive, opinionated, and incredibly smart. Often too smart for his own good. We couldn’t take him out in public, had to have a special introduction ritual for new people, and spent countless hours on training sessions. He caused a lot of headaches, but he also brought us a lot of laughter, taught us patience, and showed us the meaning of unconditional love. (Ours for him. His love for us was very conditional on how often bully sticks were received.)
There are no words good enough to express how much I miss him and how unexpectedly deeply I loved him. All I can say is that if the universe blesses you with a difficult dog, don’t give up on him. If you take a chance and work with him, it will be the most rewarding experience of your life. There will be times- like when he eats your entire Turkey #7 sandwich & hides all the evidence, or when he jumps through your window screen chasing a cat- that you’ll wonder why you put yourself through this. But most times will be filled with joy, laughs, and the kind of love that can only come from a dog who knows that you believe in him and you saved him.
Indy wasn’t always a good dog, but he was always the best dog. We were lucky to have him.

When you try for 3 weeks to get tickets to the #jellycat pop up at The Grove, and you FINALLY SUCCEED, you must document.
(For the record, I am not obsessed, I’m just a good friend. And the mug of hot chocolate had really soft whipped cream. No regrets.) by @mgritzer

Had a truly magical time at Epic Universe, checking out Kim’s and Jen’s new lands (Kim did the ministry of magic, Jen did the dark universe), and celebrating my mom’s birthday! So proud of my sister, @kimgritzer, thank you @jen.wilson.12 for getting us in the park and making us all feel like VIPs, and thank you @rataynadia for bringing all the dancing skills. A wonderful and memorable day! taken in Universal Studios: Epic Universe by @mgritzer

From the pilot of “Étoile”

“I put the take I shot from the observation room next to the take used in the episode — they don’t exactly line-up but you can see the finished shot, with VFX by Lesley Robson-Foster.” - Cinematographer David Mullen
