✨Medley Spotlight✨ Choppa 🖤🐾 A2728045

Meet Choppa, a one-year-old Staffy mix who came to the shelter in April after his owner heartbreakingly had to surrender him due to a landlord issue. 💔

Imagine going from having a home, a family, a cozy bed, playing fetch, and splashing in the pool… to suddenly finding yourself behind kennel bars in a loud, unfamiliar shelter. 😔🐾

Choppa is still just a puppy. He deserves to grow up knowing love, security, and what it feels like to belong. His story doesn’t have to end at the shelter. YOU could be the one to change it! ❤️

🏡 Can you adopt or foster Choppa? Please don’t let this sweet boy grow up in a kennel when a loving home could be waiting for him.

I’m committed to Roy and @karringtonkarerescue , supporting them however I’m able and continuing to advocate for the home he deserves. His story didn’t end when he left the shelter. 🖤 🐾 🏠

Two years in a shelter. Rescued on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. Another year in board and train. 💔

Roy is only FOUR years old, and he’s still waiting for a forever home. So much of his young life has been spent waiting. 🐾

Roy is a strong, high-energy American Pit Bull Terrier with no stop button! He needs a very active adopter who understands the breed, can confidently handle his strength, and will provide consistent training, structure, and guidance.

@diego.andres.martin is taking wonderful care of Roy in board and train, and we’re so grateful. But Roy still needs a family. A home. Someone to call his own. 🏡❤️

💔 Please remember Baloo #A2645415. He has been waiting 599 days for his fuever home.

Shelter life is starting to take a toll on him. 💔 He’s becoming more withdrawn, struggling with returning to his kennel, and has been panting more than usual.

When outside, Baloo really shines. He’s sweet, social, a playgroup star, and absolutely LOVES water, especially the pool!

⚠️Baloo would do best in a quiet, low traffic home with someone experienced and willing to let him take his time getting comfortable. He can be a little cautious when meeting new people and does best with slow, gentle introductions and a chance to build trust at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he has so much love to give. ❤️

Baloo is listed as 4 years old. Weighs approx 53lbs

✨🐾 MEDLEY SPOTLIGHT 🐾✨
Gus A2779046 🩵

I met this beautiful 3-year-old American Bully a few weeks ago, and I still cannot understand how Gus is still waiting at the shelter. 🥺

Gus is loving, sweet, and even participates in playgroups. He really is a five-star pup ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — but there’s one thing Gus needs from his person: patience.

Gus can be a little fearful, and the shelter environment can be overwhelming for a dog like him. What he needs isn’t perfection… he needs someone willing to give him a little extra TLC, a little time, and a whole lot of love. ❤️

A weekend Pawventure out of the shelter could help Gus decompress and show his true personality. Even better? A foster home. And the ultimate happy ending would be a family who sees Gus for the amazing dog he is and chooses to adopt him. 🏡🐾

💔 Please don’t forget Ortiz. 💔

Ortiz #A2610827 has been waiting 516 days with barely any interest. 😭 He’s only 3 years old, yet nearly half of his short life has been spent behind bars, with only brief moments of distraction.

He’s an extremely handsome, potty trained boy and a true 100% cuddle bug. He loves hanging out by your side, playing in the water, and enjoying treats. He’s social, dog friendly, and participates in playgroups with dogs who match his energy.

Please keep sharing Ortiz. Don’t let 515 days turn into more. He deserves a family

Terrance has been almost 600 days at the shelter 💔Terrance is an 8-year-old super (SUPER) good boy 🥹

Terrance has been featured many times with the hope that someone will see his charm, his happy & outgoing personality, and what a loving and affectionate boy he is.

The goal is to come together as a community and find this loving senior a GOOD and LOVING home before Thanksgiving!

No more holidays at the shelter for the longest-stay senior. This year, let’s make his holidays special, with people to love him and lots of cuddles!

URGENT 🆘💔 Rolly #A2738972 received a blast and needs to leave the shelter ASAP. In 5 days from this blast on October 10th, Rolly’s pathway will be determined, which may include an immediate deadline for euthanasia.

Reason? While in the play yard, Rolly got overstimulated playing with a ball and he went after the ball, but accidentally got a person’s ankle. No skin broke. He didn’t mean to hurt anyone. He was just playing. Rolly’s kennel card even states to not go into play pens because he gets overstimulated with the herding balls.

Rolly isn’t a bad dog. He’s in fact a VERY GOOD BOY. I am pleading with the world to let Rolly be seen. In just 1 month it’ll mark 1 entire YEAR he’s been at the shelter. Can you imagine being confined to a small kennel for that long? Rolly deserves the chance to be a dog and simply play with his toys.

He will need someone with experience that can train him in a responsible and positive manner. Rolly is so much more than this incident. He is:

❤️ A perfect adventure buddy he loves to walk, hike, sniff and play ball! He’s always down for a good time
❤️ once he gets his steps in, Rolly becomes a total mush and would make a great Netflix couch potato!
❤️ out of the stressful shelter environment, he is super calm & quiet in the car and very curious
❤️ he pulls on the leash at first, but after 20-30 minutes of walking, he walked like a champ
❤️ affectionate with humans, loves to give kisses
❤️ boxer mix only 3 years old.
❤️ mostly potty trained

ITS SELTOS SUNDAY❤️ today marks day 409 in his kennel and tonight, this sweet boy won’t have to sleep on the cold, hard floor because he got a soft cozy bed to sleep in 🥹 thanks to @marisa.erin.md

❤️ Also has a chill side & matches your pace, sits when you sit

🚨 🆘 DUKE #A2435291— PLEASE SHARE 🆘 🚨

Duke lost his home on August 10, 2026, when his family surrendered him because their child had severe allergies to him. In less than two months, shelter life has taken a heartbreaking toll on this boy.

Today, Duke reportedly had an incident while a kennel worker was trying to harness him. We don’t have all the details, but he has now been moved to the pet suites in the back of the shelter, and we are deeply concerned for him.

Duke is described as good with children and needs to be the only dog in the home. He urgently needs someone who can offer patience, stability, and a chance to feel safe again.

Please share Duke to help him reach an adopter or a rescue that can support a foster placement. He deserves a chance at life, a family, and a future. ❤️🐾

Big milestone yesterday for Jared! ☕️🐾✨
We ventured out for his very first crowded outing to #PasionDelCielo cafe in Midtown Miami to meet up with shelter volunteer (and Jared’s number 1 fan) @markirae . At first, the hustle and bustle was a lot for him—lots of passing cars, lively families, and other dogs had him feeling a bit nervous.
With a lot of patience, high-value treats, and a pup cup, Jared realized he was completely safe. Before long, he managed to settle right down, take in the sights, and just relax by our side. 🐶🍦
Watching him build confidence in real time and regulate his nerves in a busy environment made my heart burst. I am so incredibly proud of how brave he was! Every small step is a giant leap for this sweet boy. 🥹💖
