Congratulations to our dear graduating Game Design Majors, Minors, and friends on putting together an amazing ArtWalk exhibition! 🎉🎉💖💖

Sen, Jaydee, Freddy, Maria, Zhadyn, Angelina, Bee, Raelle, Duncan, Beane, Toby, Theo, Sam, and Sav: some truly outstanding work that has come such a long way since the start of the semester, and even the IGDA showcase just a couple weeks ago. So proud of all of you!

There's still time to check it out in person on MICA's campus in the Decker Meyerhoff Galleries, Fox 3rd Floor, and Brown 2nd Floor. Stop by if you get a chance.

Sam Butin is the founder of On The March, an independent game studio that opens windows for players to peer into untold history. He has been a fellow at New America, Villa Albertine & Mandel Cultural Leadership Program. His past work includes the historical video game 1979 Revolution: Black Friday (BAFTA, SXSW, The Game Awards Nominee, Facebook Game of the Year) & HERO (Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival Storyscapes Winner) and Fire Escape: An Interactive Narrative Series (NYFF, Tribeca, VIFF). by @micagamelab

Congratulations to our very talented and hard-working students, Hugo, Roofi, and Toby (Unfated Studios) on their big win this past Friday! 🎉🎉🎉

Not only did they win $30K at this year's UP/Start Creative Entrepreneurship Competition to help fund their game, Batara: Fate Unbound, but they prepared an incredible presentation and won the $5K People's Choice Award as well!

We're so impressed with your work and proud of what you've accomplished! 🔥🔥🔥
