I wanted to change other people’s lives this summer, God wanted to change mine…

This summer I had the opportunity to work as an intern in the Dominican Republic at @mohcaribbean! I was able to see God move in ways I have never seen before. Not only in lives of the amazing people of the Dominican Republic but also in mine. I went to the Dominican to serve, not knowing that I would be served so much more. A very wise man once said “God puts the right people in the right place, at the right time.” Man oh man that quote rang so loud in my life this summer. I think God has a sense of humor and he loves to do exactly the opposite of what we think we need just to show us that he is so involved with every little thing we do.

Thank you so much to my family in the Dominican Republic.

More Like Jesus is one of the songs that we kept singing over and over, and the lyrics that i couldn’t get out of my head were -
“more of you and less of me, TAKE EVERYTHING!”
I don’t think that could have been more clear to me this trip. I think we sometimes we pass over what it means to sing to “take everything”. The people we got to meet truly had NOTHING! Yet deep down inside you can see, they still had EVERYTHING! They had an unexplained Joy that was uncontrollably contagious! I can’t thank God enough for all he has blessed me with! I will forever remember the people we met and the memories i made, but here is most important thing that i learned:
