“You made the decision of a lifetime to help communities in Ghana when you had the choice to go on vacation, go to a concert, or enjoy time with friends and family. All of these things would have brought you joy and self-gratification. You all didn’t consider the risk when it comes to traveling, illnesses, etc. You raised the money and came to serve boots on the ground to bring medications and healthcare professionals to the doorsteps of these communities. And for that GB is eternally grateful!” - Kofi the Pharmacist

Where do I even start?! For the past 8 days I have been able travel to Ghana to participate in a Medical Brigade. During our clinic days, we served 389 patients and learned valuable information from Dentists, Doctors, Pharmacists, Optometrists, and Nurses. The best part was being able to connect with the rural communities of Ekumpoano and Akwansa Kokodo because compassion transcends language barriers. This trip, my fellow volunteers, and the people will always hold a special place in my heart!
