POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

INTO THE STATIC
You can stream anything from a phone now—music, reels, moments. Algorithms feed us the familiar.

But the real ones?
They craft visuals that feel like sound.
That hit your chest, not just your feed.
That loop in your head like a song you didn’t know you needed.

If you’re gonna step into the static…
Make sure your story cuts through the noise.

I’ve played just about every venue in DFW the past 14 years in various bands I’ve played toured with EXCEPT Trees in Dallas. Recently I got a chance to play on the stage that I’ve seen so many bands play at growing up in high school and it fell satisfying as hell to do it.

Cheers!

FORT WORTH MAGAZINE

Never would have thought that I would ever have something in a big magazine but here we are. Huge shout out to @fwtxmag for featuring @weareheshima in their September. For most this may not seem like a lot, but given the fact that I started this concept a year ago and where we’ve gone, I’ll say this: the damn work pays off sometimes. Thank you to everyone whose supported time and Heshima. Blessed is an understatement.

Cheers everyone! taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @micahlabrosse

Some recent dishes I’ve made the last few weekends:
MISO BLACK COD: tried to recreate this dish from Nobu with scallions and charred bok choy

HANDCUT RAVIOLI: homemade red sauce with veal meatballs and truffle oil

SAGE SAUSAGE & PASTA: pretty self explanatory on this one.

Not pictured are the drink pairings. Old fashioned for the cod, Tempranillo for the ravioli, peroni for the sage pasta taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @micahlabrosse

I’ve done a lot of amazing things in life, but THIS by far has been the coolest moment of my life. Being able to baptize my first born is a privilege that I’ll never forget. Proud is word that doesn’t do justice for the step he’s taken, and what means going forward in life. God is good. taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @micahlabrosse

August Rush was an early 2000’s film that got me into open tunings. The kind you scratch your head and feel you might have opened a portal into the ether. Working on finalizing some tracking for a new @darkspiralmusic release and felt it needed some portal opening. Cheers! taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @micahlabrosse

My favorite dude to have late night whiskey life talks and favorite dude to write with, cause he knows what I’m trying to verbalize without even saying it. Stoked about what we got coming out this year. taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @micahlabrosse

Best of time with these kiddos. Super proud of their character and kindness going into this school. For all you single parents out there, keep that chin up and rock solid. It’s not always easy but damn it feels good when you put the work in. taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @micahlabrosse
