Couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the last day of my solo trip and final day in Berlin. My hostel host recommended I go to this park and told me they did public karaoke every Sunday and I was fucking IN. Got there and raised my hand for like 3 hours, and just when I thought I wouldn’t get picked, I got to do the final song of the evening. And what a damn party! I’ve never sang in front of this many people (had to have been like 700-1,000 probably) and everyone was so wonderful and contributed to making this the most magical moment of my whole time here in Europe. Despite the jet lag from my 11 hour flight yesterday I’m still riding a high from this incredible experience 💖 #mauerpark #bearpitkaraoke #sonntagskaraokeimmauerpark #mauerparkkaraoke taken in Bearpit Karaoke Mauerpark by @mich.elle_bee

Took myself on a lil solo date yesterday to the record store for the first time in a loooong time so I could grab some free Funkadelic swag they had for the release of the remastered “Maggot Brain” album. I found so many more gems in the process! Been feeling a bit burnt out and uninspired lately and I forget how much this really brings back the light in my eyes. My love for music has always been at the center of my being and I don’t really have a community to share that with so if records like these are your jam let’s be friends and hit the crates together ✨🕺 #vinylcollection #funk #disco #soul #cratedigging A collection of funk and disco vinyl records. by @mich.elle_bee

“Young Hearts Run Free” by Candi Stanton 💝 This song always serves as a reminder to choose my own path, even when it’s challenging and feels foreign. Everything I’ve ever done in my life, I’ve done absolutely scared and full of doubt. I choose to do it anyway because being controlled by the anxiety and self-limiting beliefs that keep me from trying, ultimately guaranteeing failure, is far scarier to me. This season of my life is all about surrender and saying “so what” to every shitty reason I have for not doing the things I wanna do. Feeling the fear and doing it anyway is how anybody gets anywhere I’ve come to realize. I grew up in an environment where it was a source of shame to be seen trying, or to be seen in general. There was a sense of pride that came from being small and humble and prioritizing the comfort of others. It’s only stifled and never served me. It’s taken me over 30 years to start unlearning that conditioning, and every day I shed a new layer to get closer to myself and what lights me up and makes me feel powerful. Even a small step is a step in the right direction.

My favorite stills from our new music video with @lizziebudinmusic 💖 My first directing role! Learned so much and I’m so proud with how everything came out. Even when we all had to think on our toes filming a fire scene outside when there was a whole cold front blowing in, literally blowing out our flames. Despite it all we made something so cool you guys 🫶

It’s my best friend’s birthday! 🥳 19 years of growing and learning and loving with you @ss3spirah 🫶 There are some people who become foundational pillars of your life and tether you to yourself and what matters most to you. Spirah, you keep me tethered to kindness, softness, curiosity, whimsy, and most importantly, love. A literal ray of sunshine shaped into a glitter-speckled person who makes sure everyone around her feels safe and cared for. Our friendship has healed so much in me throughout the years and continues to make me a better, more loving person every day. We may be half a country apart now but we’ve done it before and we’ll always make it work no matter what. You got me for life bubble buddy 🫧💖✨ by @mich.elle_bee

Red carpet picks from the Grandmaster Gala with @cloud.companion ✨ So grateful to be a part of this project and make art + puppeteer alongside so many talented and creative friends who I love dearly 💖 I’m really out here living the most random life and couldn’t be happier to fill it with so many experiences that make me feel alive and expressive and making the most of this weird and fleeting existence 🌀 taken in Stateside at the Paramount by @mich.elle_bee

Haven’t posted a singing video in awhile but I’ve been feeling musically inspired lately so here’s a tribute to @amosshart whose singing in The Dead Weather alongside @officialjackwhite changed my brain chemistry about female vocals and made me feel so seen for having a more loud and gritty and soulful voice. @thirdmanrecords please please please put out another album like Sea of Cowards 🙏 #cover #rockvocals #bluesrock #femalevocalist #jackwhite by @mich.elle_bee

Mixed-media edit I did last year for @soulsippermusic to celebrate their single release of “Rising Son”, and to celebrate Skelly’s first band photoshoot 🎉💀🎂

No AI, just a photo I took at @cinemakerstudios then printed out and covered with paper confetti I got from @austincreativereuse👌

First mixed-media edit from our Alice in Wonderland inspired fashion photoshoot 🐇✨🌀🍄

Wanted to do my own take on the dollhouse scene with a nostalgic nod to this iconic vintage pull toy house (made out of some corrugated plastic sheets I had, colored cardstock, mini skateboard wheels wrapped in balloons, and the face I designed and cut out on my machine).

Took the photo of Leslie at @cinemakerstudios, then printed it out and scanned the cutout back into this landscape scene made with textured paper for the grass and a paper cut collage I made for the sky (part of a larger art piece in the works that I spent hours ripping paper apart to make the perfect clouds for). A true labor of creative love and experimentation 🌀
