A new era ✨ as photographed by @gcope.nyc 📸

May 21, 2026 will forever be one of the greatest nights of my life, and these people made it all the more special. I love them. I love music. I love New York. I love Barbra Streisand.

Thank you to all who came and spent this spectacular evening with us. I promise this is only the beginning. 💋 taken in 54 Below by @michael.cuschieri

As an artist, one of the greatest gifts is watching something that has lived in your head, for months and months on end, come to life. When I first thought of doing a live performance of The Second Barbra Streisand Album in concert, I knew it would have to be special. I didn’t realize that it would eventually become one of the greatest nights in my whole career.

If there’s one thing I love, it’s surrounding myself with wonderful humans — artists who really really love and have a deep appreciation for the work. Somehow, the universe has graced me with, whom I believe to be, the best artists in New York City. Being able to put something down on paper, and hear played and sung even better than you heard it in your head is such a rare gift. That is what I and the rest of the audience experienced at @54below last night.

At the heart of all of this is something that I can only consider to be “The Streisand Effect.” Lots of people can do Streisand… they try to sing like her, mimic her career choices… but it’s very rare for someone to actually carry her true essence. The ability to see the greater picture as a whole, to put artistry before ego, to not be afraid of making daring choices, and to trust in your own true artistic instincts. To truly be Barbra is to not be Barbra, but to be your own wonderful self. I can honestly tell you that I can say that about every single performer on that stage last night, and THAT is truly a gift.

Most importantly, last night could not have happened without the literal backbones of this project: @gabymank @carasforfinski. These two are the reason my crazy vision was able to come to life last night. And my wonderful director @j3waythreat, who was able to take this concept, give it an arc, a flow, and a clear vision… I am so eternally grateful. And of course, @54below for being the best hosts. I can’t wait to be back.

There are many more photos and stories to come from last night, but to all that were in the room with us… I hope you got to experience something special. Because I sure did. And now, onto the next…

Xoxo - Michael ♥️ taken in 54 Below by @michael.cuschieri

🫦 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT!! (and more to come…)

Kick off spooky season with these foolish mortals for a horrifying night at @chelseatableandstage as we celebrate the art of the horror musical.

“It’s astounding… time is fleeting…” — and there’s no better time to celebrate the wonderfully weird world of the horror musical! From The Rocky Horror Show and Sweeney Todd to Carrie, Little Shop of Horrors, Beetlejuice, Jekyll & Hyde, and beyond, NOT SINCE ROCKY serves up a bloody cocktail of murder, mayhem, monsters, misfits, and musical theatre magic. Expect wickedly funny solos, steamy duets, killer melodies, and enough theatrical insanity to make you question whether you should have come alone. So come along for the ride—just don’t forget your fishnets, your favorite shaver, and a healthy suspicion of anyone offering you a plant. NOT SINCE ROCKY: Celebrating the Horror Musical is music directed and produced by Michael Cuschieri and co-produced by Victoria Norland. taken in Chelsea Table + Stage by @michael.cuschieri

A little under two months after the horrific events of September 11, 2001, the 53rd Primetime Emmy Awards ended with this surprise performance by Barbra Streisand. Originally from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s 1945 musical Carousel, “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was arranged for Barbra by David Foster.
