An unusual view of Manhattan. It's early morning. The East River separates Brooklyn, bottom and right, from Manhattan on the left. The Williamsburg Bridge connects the Lower East Side of Manhattan and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This was shot from the roof of what is now the tallest building in Brooklyn; a 74 story tower at 9 DeKalb Ave. I’ve shot many views of Manhattan, from many vantages - but never this. It was shot for JDS Development.

This photograph is from 2012 when Hurricane Sandy hit New York and New Jersey. The southern portion of Manhattan lost power. The black out killed the lights on the Manhattan side of the bridge.

An unusual view of Manhattan. This is Downtown Brooklyn in the foreground and Manhattan across the East River. New Jersey can be seen beyond the confluence of the Hudson and East Rivers, on the left. This was shot from the roof of what is now the tallest building in Brooklyn; a 74 story tower at 9 DeKalb Ave. I’ve shot many views of Manhattan, from many vantages - but never this. It was shot for JDS Development.
