ARC Review: 20% Off Your First Demon This Halloween 👹🎃

I'll be honest, I was a little anxious going into this one. Since having my kids a few years ago, I've definitely lost some of my nerve when it comes to horror stories!

However, I ended up really enjoying this one.

Don't get me wrong, it's DARK in places. It tackles some difficult subjects, and there's definitely gore and plenty of horror. But there are enough lighter moments and plenty of humour to take the edge off a little, so it never felt too intense for me.

I also think the concept is genius, and the character of the mime in particular is incredibly clever. Honestly, she's the perfect horror movie villain. Genuinely terrifying!

The story ends on a cliffhanger, but you'll be relieved to know (as I was!) that the sequel, 20% Off Your First Demon This Christmas, is already available. I can't wait to dive into the next one!

A huge thank you to @michaelclarkeauthor for reaching out to me and trusting me with your book. I loved it!

Looking for something fun to read this Halloween? 🎃
Something that also tackles deep and difficult themes? Something that feels incredibly relevant today, yet has those ’80s and ’90s Beetlejuice and Stephen King vibes?
A book you can devour in a day or two while being glued to the pages, disgusted, heartbroken, and yet amused?

Then this book is for you!

Blurb:
« Halloween is the busiest night of the year for Corpse Corp Limited.
They offer a unique service to society’s desperate, bitter, and supplying psychos, homicidal maniacs, supernatural entities, and other deadly forces to those seeking some violent karma. »

A huge thank you to the author @michaelclarkeauthor for offering me this book for review!

Although, I’m not thanking him for making me want to pick up the sequel right away when I already have so many books waiting to be read.
I need to know what happens next for some beloved characters!

But I’ll still wait until December because… Get 20% off your first demon this Christmas. 🎄😈

What are you reading this October ?
