Allison, my daughter, works for the Sheriff’s Department and has always been dedicated to serving her community. Recently, she experienced an incident at work involving an inmate, which resulted in a torn meniscus. While being treated for this injury, doctors discovered a mass in her knee. After a biopsy, we received the devastating news that Allison has bone cancer. She is now beginning chemotherapy treatments, and a knee replacement surgery will follow.

This diagnosis has turned Allison’s world upside down. As a devoted mother to her infant son, she is facing not only the physical and emotional challenges of cancer, but also the financial strain that comes with it. The funds raised will help cover her mounting medical bills, provide childcare for her son during treatments, support travel expenses for specialized care, and help offset the potential loss of work during her recovery.

Though the support of the Montgomery County Sheriff Department, her family and friends will be invaluable, she will require some additional assistance with medical bills, travel for treatments, childcare for her infant son and more. Any assistance you can provide will be more than appreciated. Allison had surgery this afternoon in Nashville by one of the top surgeons here at a Centennial/Vanderbilt. We’re happy to share that the chemo calcified the sarcoma and was able to be removed and a full knee replacement occurred, sparing loss of limb. This was the best news we could ask for. The surgeon said all went according to plan.

She will now learn how to walk with her new knee and other bionic joint parts and undergo a few more rounds of chemo in about a month.

We all want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the well wishes, go fund me donations and positive thoughts and prayers. Still more work to be done but she is feeling all the blessings bestowed upon her. 🫶🏼

After years of working in hospitality within the Disneyland environment (hello Club 33!), Michael Cobb found himself opening up a little tiki bar smack in the middle of Santa Barbara’s wine country.
