Happy 10th Birthday to our purebred Mexican street dog, Cã Bear Bear! It is incredible how much life we have shared with you. Rachel found you when we dating. Our wedding reading from The Little Prince was about how you are responsible for what you tame. You were a huge source of comfort when lost everything we owned. In addition to being Darwin’s first word, you are in the background of every picture of our girls “firsts”. We are grateful for your unconditional love, loyalty & companionship. by @michaelfriedberg

For 10 years, Calle has been our unofficial emotional support animal, our most loyal companion, and now the most patient and loving dog to our two girls.

For my mom‘s 80th, Rachel got our old family movies digitized. The first video is me skiing at 3 years old. The second two are Darwin at 3 . There is no comparison! I am so grateful to @jeanandersonfriedberg for taking me skiing when I was short and fat! I am so grateful to share this sport with my girls! taken in Vail, Colorado by @michaelfriedberg

Darwin is crushing it on the bike! So much fun watching her gain confidence & enjoying being out on the trail. Thanks to @kidsrideshotgun for getting Andi Wren out! Her favorite activity is chasing her big sister 😵‍💫 taken in Vail, Colorado by @michaelfriedberg

The move that separates intermediate from expert skiers? Your pole plant. 🎿

@michaelfriedberg (former US Ski Team, World Cup moguls) breaks it down: the pole plant is your timing device, the cue that moves your body into the next turn.

✋ Relaxed, disciplined hands — light grip, pole strap on
📍 Stacked position: knees over toes, hips over ankles, shoulders over hips

The move: plant → up and forward → release the old turn → into the next one.

No pole plant, and you drift back — losing the position to turn well. Small move, huge difference. taken in Vail, Colorado by @michaelfriedberg
