Do you have goosebumps yet? 🥹🎿

Today’s chairlift ride is with Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley, reliving his legendary winning run at the 1998 Nagano Olympics.

At the top of the course, Olympic pressure at its peak, Jonny watched run after run go down — each one raising the bar.

No room for hesitation. Just one chance to trust everything he had trained for.

Then came the bottom air… the perfect rotation… the grab… and a split-second thought mid-flight:

“I got this.”

But what happened after he crossed the finish line is the part that still gives people chills.

Listen to the full story — the ending is worth it. 🥇

Congratulations on your new role as GM of @xgames_goldenstate!

The move that separates intermediate from expert skiers? Your pole plant. 🎿

@michaelfriedberg (former US Ski Team, World Cup moguls) breaks it down: the pole plant is your timing device, the cue that moves your body into the next turn.

✋ Relaxed, disciplined hands — light grip, pole strap on
📍 Stacked position: knees over toes, hips over ankles, shoulders over hips

The move: plant → up and forward → release the old turn → into the next one.

No pole plant, and you drift back — losing the position to turn well. Small move, huge difference.

📍Most buyers know Vail Village. Some know Lionshead. But did you know there is a “Third Village?”

Tucked into Vail’s coveted Cascade/Glen Lyon neighborhood, this beautifully updated mountain retreat offers something that’s becoming increasingly rare in Vail: privacy, space, ski access, and the feel of a single-family home - all just moments from the Cascade Lift, known by locals as the best way to skip the powder-day crowds.

📩 DM or Comment “CASCADE” and I’ll send you all the details.

Vaulted ceilings, walls of windows, white oak flooring, a private hot tub, heated driveway, flat backyard (perfect for pets), and multiple living spaces make this 4-bedroom residence ideal for both family living and entertaining guests year-round.

The location is what truly sets it apart. Step onto the Gore Creek path for an easy ride or walk to Vail Village and Lionshead, enjoy exceptional privacy, and take advantage of short-term rental potential and optional Destination by Hyatt participation.

In a market where location is everything, Cascade/Glen Lyon continues to be one of Vail’s most sought-after neighborhoods - and opportunities like this rarely come available.

Co-listed by @debbiegibsonvail and @lizleedsrealestate.

📩 DM or Comment “CASCADE” for pricing, details, or a private tour.

Big news for our clients! @DebbieGibsonVail and I are excited to officially welcome @MichaelFriedberg to the Liz Leeds Luxury Team.

I’ve known Michael for over 20 years. We met when he was fresh off the World Cup circuit and coaching my son, Broby, who went on to become a World Cup halfpipe skier himself. From that moment, it was clear Michael has a rare ability to connect with people, guide them, and bring out their best.

That skill matters more than ever in luxury real estate, especially in a relationship-driven market like Vail, where the right connections can open doors long before a property ever hits the market.

Michael brings an incredible network, deep local knowledge, and the kind of personality that instantly makes people feel comfortable and taken care of.

My goal has always been to create an exceptional experience for our clients, and adding Michael allows us to elevate that experience even further.

Can’t wait for you to get to know him!

SSF Athlete Feature: Michael Friedberg 🚵‍♂️

For years, Michael lined up in the pro field at the GoPro Mountain Games, racing some of the sport’s best. This year, his return to competition is about something different.

After becoming a dad, Michael is racing again for the first time and hopes to show his 5-year-old daughter that participating can be about having fun, challenging yourself, and enjoying the experience—not just chasing results.

Catch Michael out on the course this weekend and cheer him on!
