The people you love, all in one place. Just this once.

We thought they deserved to be celebrated, too.

Introducing @familiarfaces.photo , archival guest portraiture by For the Love of It.

Michael welcomes guests into our portrait studio, giving each person his full attention. Some are playful, others effortlessly elegant, and some a little theatrical. No two are quite alike.

Each portrait is printed in black and white on fine art paper, creating something beautiful and lasting for guests to take home.

And for you, a collection of the people who made your day so special. by @michaelnewsted

“A WAVE TO WAITING” is out now!!! Stream the full video on YouTube!

Also, if you haven’t yet done so, I invite you to head over to Spotify or wherever you listen to music & add “A WAVE TO WAITING” to your library. Thanks so much!

LYRICS

I’ve taken up to put-me-down’s
No wonder why I won’t come out
Keep latching on to don’t-know-how’s
And wonder why not try right now

Somehow I can’t believe
The song I long to sing
Is still inside of me
Humming a harmony

I’m not done changing
I’m not done making sound
I bet the love that led me here will be
Getting on this train with a wave to waiting for me

I make my luck by making love
But can’t quit hating hate because
It took the man I used to be
And drank the cup of loveless dreams

Somehow I can’t believe
The love I long to bring
Is still inside of me
Waiting patiently

I’m not done changing
I’m not done breaking ground
I bet the love that led me here will be
Getting on this train with a wave to waiting for me

I’m giving up on living life in black and white
I’m giving up on thinking I need fame to die
I’m giving up on saving who I’ve been to save the man I might
Yeah I’m on this train with a wave to waiting for me

I know I can believe
The love I long to bring
Is still inside of me
Waiting patiently

I’m not done changing
I’m not done feeling found
I bet the love that led me here will be
Getting on this train with a wave to waiting for me by @michaelnewsted

One day I’ll find the right words to express how grateful I am to be a photographer in this lifetime. Creating images continues to bring me so much joy and allows my curious heart to earnestly connect with others and the world around me. Thank you to everyone who persists in encouraging me as a visual artist, a caring body, and a compassionate soul. My community of those I love most are my greatest inspirations and that will surely never change. Sending all my love to you who might be reading this right now.
