Slow transformations //

Still processing my re-becoming after a 2 month reset of body & spirit & system /

leaning into a practice of letting the body be empty and available, with honesty and curiosity /

challenging the notion “of becoming good” and looking instead for potential + play /

feeling the pleasure in undoing old ways, rewiring my nervous system to welcome limitations, discipline, and difficulty /

discovering structure as a container that holds community together /

more to come x by @michalgreenfield

Opening THIS Saturday 7pm
Tiger Strikes Asteroid Bendix Building, 1206 Maple Ave
TO WITNESS IS NEVER ENTIRELY PASSIVE
August 22 – September 13, 2026

What happens when witnessing becomes participation—and when silence becomes a form of consent? To Witness Is Never Entirely Passive brings together artists, journalists, and activists who examine the relationship between visibility and responsibility, documentation and action, truth and power. In a world saturated with images, information, conflict, and human suffering, the exhibition asks: What do we do with what we witness? And what obligations arise when we encounter the realities of others?

This July I had the great privilege to spend 1 month training & dancing & living & learning with an incredible group of people in the Body Weather Laboratory led by @lightningshadow_ , Andrés Corchero, and Christine Quoiraud. Thank you to each person and plant who shared in this experience with a generous spirit. Through our work my body learned new ways it can move through the world. Thank you to @dancingclay @livia__reiner @perlineaglaghanian @kathacuchara @mayaschwartz___ @beatrizzzz.ribas @yusa.min @alucasdance @leptit_lu @selinapapoutseli @lescapad.e @petra_romyflora @larretenmouvements by @michalgreenfield

City moves / searching for slowness / been finding it very hard to be still, or patient - both in life and in body. Practicing play that will teach my body & mind the pleasure in moving slow

(thank you runyon for the inspiration)
