The Lonely Monster was a super cute rhyming story on finding where you belong. You may feel like you don’t quite fit in somewhere, but the right friends will find you. So very sweet and I loved the creative illustrations by the 10-year-old author. Wonderful read with a great message. The co-author is my indie friend, Maggie @thesaltypages who wrote, Under the Boardwalk, another fabulous read if you haven’t read it already. Check these books out on Amazon. 🙏♥️ by @michele.d.dutton.author

We're just TWO WEEKS away from Reading Retreat 2026 and we're getting hyyyyyyype! 📚🍂🔥

One of our favorite traditions every year is our Blind Date with a Book rack. We love a little bookish mystery to kick off a weekend of reading, and we can't wait to see which books everyone picks!

Feeling some FOMO? 👀 Here's a sneak peek at a few of this year's blind dates! Swipe through for the tropes, the rack, and then the big reveals on slide 3 (⚠️ retreat attendees, spoilers ahead!).

📖 Which one are you picking?

🏔️ Small-town romance, found family, second chances & the German Alps

🕵️ Historical fiction, women spies, WWII & a signed copy from the author

🔪 A killer's manifesto, media manipulation, missing women & thriller vibes

🖤 Horror romance, witchy vibes & a new-age retreat gone wrong

The best part? You don't have to wait for retreat weekend to read these! All four are available as ARCs or new releases. 👀📚

Qotd: Which one would you be taking home??

Stay tuned for more retreat teasers 💚
