my first ever fantuan!!! i’ve been seeing this all over my FYP and i have been craving it even though i’ve never had it before 😭 most of the places i’ve seen with it are in the south bay so i was SO excited when i found out @fantuanbayarea was taking online orders for pick up at poke parlor on telegraph 🛍️😋

i love purple grain sticky rice and it was so nostalgic eating sticky rice with pork floss (i miss my mom’s cooking 🥲) it’s a super portable, easy to eat meal to bring for a long study day or to the park! check out the link in their bio to pre-order now! 🙂‍↕️

i’ve been going to @pokeparlor for over 6 years now and my bowl has ALWAYS been packed to the brim 😍 things i look for in a good poke spot is fresh fish, unlimited toppings, a good variety of sauces ✅ it’s such a convenient spot to grab lunch/dinner from and it has always been my finals study week treat meal 🙂‍↕️

highly recommend stopping by if you are reminiscing your hawaii vacation days (like me) 🍣🏝️

welcome to the world of wine bars!! 🥂 @milelimit introduced me to the wine bar experience and i can’t believe it took me so long to go! the ambiance is perfect for small groups or larger gatherings and the interior is so inviting 🙂‍↕️ i was so impressed with their small plates that i need to try their original location @lamarchaberkeley 😍

some plates you can’t skip include the oxtail ragu (definitely the star of the show), the wagyu tartare, the duck carnitas tacos, and the fig frangipane tart!! the menu changes frequently depending on what’s in season at the farmer’s market so just know every dish there is as fresh as can be 🥬😋 there’s a huge selection of wines from across california and brought in from outside wine regions 🍷 highly recommend coming with a group of friends for a chill night out 🙂‍↔️

thank you @milelimit for having me, @curated.by.lucy, and our friends in for a delicious dinner paired with local wines! i will be back for more oxtail ragu 😋

yes, i just said BUTTER CHICKEN BURRITO AT 11PM!! if you look at my fyp, it’s all mukbangs that show up at night after every restaurant in the city is closed… but luckily for me @xpressionrestaurant is open till late night serving up so many indian dishes to satisfy my cravings 🌃🌯

they have a massive tandoor oven to make fresh naan for every burrito wrap which is just crazy to me that i can get freshly made traditional naan in berkeley past 9pm 😍 each wrap is loaded up and perfect to take away and enjoy with a mango lassi 😋 the combo of raita, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney is a trio made in heaven 🙂‍↕️

thank you @xpressionrestaurant for having me in! my indian food cravings have been more than satisfied 🤰🏻

i’ve lived in berkeley for 7 years now and the revival of downtown berk makes me SO HAPPYY 😍 @palmettosuperfoods is having their grand opening on sept 12th and you won’t want to miss it!! the first 100 customers will receive a tote bag filled with goodies and entered for a chance to win more prizes 👀🍎

it’s another great addition to downtown berkeley for when you are craving a healthy sweet treat 🙂‍↕️ ask to sample some of their creative bases—i tried the spirulina and the POG (passion orange guava) and i felt like i was in hawaii ✈️ i could definitely eat a bowl of just the bases 😅 the smoothies are basically blended up acai bowls so if you are looking for the taste of a bowl but feeling a drink, it’s the perfect middle ground 😋

thank you @palmettosuperfoods for having me in to share the grand opening news! i loved getting to watch the bts of my order 🤩📸

summer in sf starts NOW in my opinion… and @junbisanfrancisco agrees!! to celebrate, they are releasing a new yuzu brown sugar refreshers series with 3 purées to try—guava, mango, and strawberry 🍓😋 enjoy them as is to enjoy a light, refreshing drink or add a shot of premium matcha to deepen the flavors 🍵

my favorite was the guava yuzu brown sugar refresher!! you can really taste the guava purée which i don’t come across enough in cafes 🙂‍↕️ junbi is a great spot for summer drinks with friends while exploring the city or doing a cafe hop!

i love when a vietnamese restaurant has authentic home cooked meals you don’t typically see at restaurants and @sidestreetpho has so many of my favorites!! the modern environment with the taste of a home cooked meal makes it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family 🏡🍜

my favorite dish was the tumeric and dill fish with vermicelli noodles—a quintessential northern vietnamese dish! the fish was soft and tender and of course had to drown it all in fish sauce 😋 perfect to pair with the passion fruit slush that was to die for!!!! it’s on the special menu so i highly recommend stopping by while it’s still passion fruit season to try it out!

thank you @sidestreetpho for having me and my family in! vietnamese stamp of approval 😋✅

@popbarbayarea opened just in time for the peak of summer in berkeley!! 🍨 i’ve been hearing about their recent opening and was super excited to try gelato on a stick 😋

i was pleasantly surprised to see a plain tart FROYO pop option (plain tart is the best froyo flavor) since i don’t have a go-to icy froyo spot in berk 😞… until now!!! loved the flavor combos i chose and the gelato shake was so thick and creamy 🍓 the gelato started melting off the stick a little since we were filming but every drop still ended up in our bellies 🤰🏻

definitely recommend stopping by on a warm day this summer!☀️thank you for having us in @popbarbayarea 😋

ever since i saw @clementineyountville i’ve been itching to plan a girls trip back to napa valley to have lunch here!! 🍊🥂 every detail of this restaurant is so thoughtfully curated and the staff made our visit very pleasant~ i told my girl friends to trust my rec and it did not disappoint 😌

for drinks we had the clementine spritz made with house made sorbet and the gemini 🍹 our girl lunch was a crisp caesar salad with crispy anchovies, fresh peach & prosciutto flatbread, and a basket of truffle fries 🌟

highly recommend adding this place to your next napa valley itinerary 🥂

living my sanrio dreams @hellokittycafesantaclara 🎀🥰 this hello kitty themed cafe in @westfieldvf is such a nostalgic spot to have a girls tea party date in the bow room or just to pick up a cute little drink! they also have an evening delights experience that i need to come back to try 😋🍰

my friends and i came in for the afternoon tea which came with SO many hello kitty themed/shaped sweets on a gorgeous 3-tier hello kitty deck 😍 my favorites were the cocoa creme and strawberries, the chicken salad croissant, egg salad in a waffle cup, and the raspberry macaron 🥐🍓 we had to try out the mimosas which came with mango, orange, and guava juice— it was definitely hitting us afterwards 🥂 no afternoon tea is complete without tea and the summer peach was a perfect choice for us 🐣🫖

such a cute activity to catch up with friends and surround yourself in adorable snacks 🥰 thank you @hellokittycafesantaclara for having us in! ☺️🎀

one of my favorite things about berkeley is that the restaurants here are local spots with so much charm! 💞 @littleplearnthai is exactly one of the spots i’m talking about and i have so many memories here from undergrad all the way to grad school 👩‍🎓 they love to decorate every holiday and graduation and they know how to feed us RAVENOUS students with massive portion sizes 😅😋

one thing i look for at thai places is if i can literally TASTE the wok 🔥 and little plearn has my stamp of approval! the crispy pork belly was flavorful and an elite protein choice for the pad thai 🥓 the drinks are refreshing and SO CUTE (i’m so sad my flamingo got wet 🥲)

if you are visiting the area, i highly recommend stopping by for a casual bite to grab right off the downtown berkeley bart station! 🚉

thank you so much for having me and @ryan.kimv in! 💌 i’ll be back for your massive lunch specials again soon 😌
