a new west berkeley favorite for wine lovers 🍷✨ @milelimit is a neighborhood wine bar, bottle shop, and restaurant bringing together a thoughtfully curated selection of wines with mediterranean-inspired small plates. they are created by the same team behind *Michelin-recognized* La Marcha Tapas Bar and their menu draws inspiration from all throughout europe and north africa— such a diverse variety of shareable plates to seasonal dishes perfectly pairing the wines~🥂

we loved the relaxed, intimate atmosphere and easily spent a long evening here sharing plates, sampling new wines, and browsing their selection of bottles to take home. some of our favorites were the oxtail ragú, gnocchi, and beef tartare!! 😋definitely recommend a visit to this cute spot if you’re in the bay for a laid-back dinner or wine night with friends 🤍

we got:
🍎caramel apple crisp shaken espresso
🍊orange cardamon latte
🏕️ s’mores by the fire latte
🍵 marshmallow fluff white chocolate matcha latte
🫖 earl grey matcha einspanner latte

my personal favorite of the day was the s’mores by the fire latte with the biscoff cookie crumble and toasty marshmallows 🔥 the crowd favorite was the caramel apple crisp shaken espresso and the white chocolate matcha 🍵 the orange cardamon latte was smooth and felt like a warm hug 🫂 & the earl grey matcha einspanner had strong earl grey flavor that balanced with the matcha perfectly! i’m not even exaggerating about how amazing this experience was—berkeley, you are very lucky to have mind coffee ☕️🍀

@cravesubs has been my go to sandwich shop in berkeley ever since they were on center st. (iykyk)! they are on shattuck now by the bart station so it’s been so convenient to grab and go for lunch and packing for picnics!

my number 1 pick for the meal has to be the wolverine fries! if you like chick-fil-a and need a fix it LITERALLY tastes just like it and dare i say even better bc there is ranch?? those that know me know i don’t play when it comes to fries and sauce so this major news‼️also obsessed with the spider-man fries with the tangy buffalo sauce and the pikachu on dutch crunch 🥑😋

first final of 2nd year optometry school hit so hard i needed a trip to hawaii… so i went to wow wow lemonade!

here’s what i ordered:
🍋 original lemonade
🥭🥥 mango colada lemonade
🍓🍍 strawberry pineapple lemonade
🌅🥤 sunrise smoothie
🫐 original acai bowl (my fave!)
🥥🥜 coconut peanut butter toast
🥗🐟 cali ahi poke bowl
🍣🐠 masago salmon poke bowl
🌋🍚 volcano bowl

the poke bowls were absolutely loaded and the fruit toppings on the açai bowl were super fresh 😋 shout out to the staff for recommending us to add strawberries on the toast— a great flavor combo! 🍌🍓definitely a great place to add to the list of fun little drinks and sweet treats to grab after an exam! 🤓🍋

Calling all Berkeley friends!! I’ve found THE spot for giant burritos and LOADED fries 🙈 Afghan Burrito is a local shop specializing in Mission-style Mexican food with an Afghan marination twist! The portion sizes were INSANE and so loaded with sauces 😋 Quite the hidden gem and just a short ride on the 36 bus from campus 🚎

Surf and Turf Golden Burrito - Absolutely massive and filled to the brim with tender steak and the juiciest shrimp 🍤 Burritos were wrapped securely 🌯✅ 10/10

Grilled Chicken and Steak Golden Burrito - Chicken was marinated throughout and complemented the creamy Golden Sauce! Highly recommend pouring the pink garlic sauce on this one 😌🍗9.5/10

Surf and Turf Loaded Fries - UNREAL FRIES. Crispy, saucy, and the juicy shrimp paired surprising well with the fries. If you know me, i DON’T play about my fries or my sauces 🙇🏻‍♀️😍 10/10

Horchata - Perfectly sweet with a touch of cinnamon (tastes almost like cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk!) 🥛 9.5/10

Karak Chai - Warm, smooth, and aromatic! Not the biggest chai drinker but it was very soothing 🧡 8.5/10

Afghan Burrito is open till late night and I will be back for those late night munchies 😜🍟
