I volunteer at Mitchell Lake Audubon Society doing the bird feeder count. There’s a great big yellow garden spider that lives by the house. She’s very cute and a little spooky.
We’ve spent a lot of time together, so I made this in her honor.

“Eileen’s treasures”

This shelf hangs in my in-law’s dining room. My mother-in-laws father built the shelf and she fills it with beautiful figurines and trinkets she’s collected over the years. At Christmas time it’s filled with Santa Claus mugs- one of my favorite installations.

I painted the ink illustration in 2020, during peak quarantine. I painted scenes in the home that I just loved, and buddy this is one of my favorites. Eileen always curates the most precious objects you’ve ever see.

It was a blast to transform the actual shelf into an illustration and now into a tile wall hanging (still need to figure out how to hang it). Very fun to experience my art transform over time, space, and mediums, but I always return to creating things that stem from a place of love. ❤️

Cyanotype experiments! I’ve been dying to try out this technique for so long and I finally made time/space to do so yesterday. Which one is your favorite? I’m between 2 and 5

Handmade flower bowl! This pinch pot slowly became a flower shaped bowl. I’ve been really into going to the studio and seeing what happens with no plan. It feels so good! While I love the form, I’m not so sure about the glaze… gotta keep experimenting I guess 😅l

New Mexico chocolate clay with Chai gloss. A lil pinch pot test that I like more and more every day. Maybe pinch pots are more fun to make than wheel thrown things? Idk.

My teacher had the genius idea of turning the 8 edition prints into an animation. Here we go. 🔥🔥

A tiny tray for my dining room table! I constructed with slabs, and I experimented with half circle base. A biiiit wobbly but I’m obsessed with this form. I can’t wait to make more and experiment with glaze/adornments.

Peep that lazy glaze in the underside (ok ok I’ll quit being lazy and paint 3 layers 🙈)
