I haven’t been to all of the beautiful lakes in the Canadian Rockies but of the ones I have visited, this is my favourite. Emerald lake in Yoho National Park. First visit in the fall. It is no secret that I love wildlife but the Alberta wild horses are something extra special. The first time I saw them I couldn’t believe it. They stole my ❤️. So beautiful. Went on a road trip yesterday and came across these beauties. Was a highlight of my day. I could spend all day watching them. #wildhorses #albertawildhorses #roadtrip #horse by @michellesshots

Took these photos while on the trail around Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. This part of the trail was boardwalk. Just a word of advice, pay close attention when moving on boardwalk to take a shot from a different angle or you may end up in the bushes. I just may have moved one foot off the boardwalk, but guess what there was no boardwalk. Guess who ended up in the bushes!!! Thankfully no injuries and it made for a memorable moment and maybe some laughter! #trail #greenery #nature #canonphotography by @michellesshots
