My scorecard from the 2nd round of the 3rd annual Miniest Mini Golf Open at Lilli Putt (Coon Rapids, MN). My 48 was the low score of round 2, missed the lowest round of the day by just a stroke, and missed the course record by just 2!

Thanks to the strong finish, I was able to take the tournament title by two strokes over talented local pro and tournament director @tomrloftus!

Tom, Tommy Schweiss, and I combined as a trio for a score of 154 this round-- the best score for a playing group in either round of the tournament! by @mickcullenminigolf

The humps here on the par-3 18th at Lilli Putt (Coon Rapids, MN) provide a nice visual guide for your straight shot. You can go for the 30-foot front-door ace or the back-door shot off the wall, with the caveat that hitting the cup lip on the first pass of an attempted back-door ace will turn that ball and may leave you with a much longer shot for 2 than you'd like.

This was another hole where I would have been disappointed with a par. Luckily, I went a combined 3-under on two attempts here in the tournament.
I went for the back-door shot each time, as I was more comfortable hitting the ball at the pace for that play. I had a 2 in the first round, but successfully holed it in one in round 2 to close out a round of 48, just 2 off the course record. It was my only ace of the round, and I cheered emphatically as I watched it rebound at the perfect angle and finish off a true roll right into the back of the cup.

I had no idea at the time it would be good enough for the tournament victory. Frankly, I didn't think it would, but I was very proud of going sub-50 on this monster of a course. by @mickcullenminigolf
