Yesterday, I turned 18. You may have said happy birthday or you didn't. Thank you to everyone who did, I appreciate it. I meant to post this yesterday but I ran out of time 😂 however I want to enlighten y'all on how much of a big deal yesterday was. 3 years ago, I was in a rough patch. And I was self harming. I never thought I'd make it to 16. And when I did, I was still in a rough spot. And I continued to self harm. Then I made it to 17. And the cycle continued. For most of my high school career, I never thought I'd make it to the next coming year. And the fact that I got to celebrate my 18th birthday, I couldn't feel more proud of who I become and how much I've accomplished in my life. I will look back in high school and probably regret a lot of my decisions, because they've left physical scars to show for. Every year, I would get close to my birthday and think "it's so close, yet I don't wanna celebrate it". I actually looked forward to my 18th birthday. Because it meant so much that I fought off all my struggles and powered through. I am 18 and I'm so proud to be here. by @mickie.18
