Yesterday’s Reset by @blackvotecanada was grounding — yoga, reflection, and a shared meal with incredible Black women. I met a wonderful group of educators carving out space for wellness and strengthening their leadership. Grateful for the connection and the calm 😌

Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Camp HRC to lead a session that highlights the importance of finding rest in the midst of doing great things.

As a group we explored finding the harmony between rest and resilience, and the importance balancing between these two poles things. Im always incredibly moved working with @hillstudiowellness, I'm reminded that we can do hard things AND that on our paths we are enriched by community, care, support, laughter and joy.

In this room of powerful leaders I was deeply affirmed that leadership is not about being perfect but about being yourself - showing up authentically not just when you feel strong or winning, but also allowing community to be with you in your moments of softness and vulnerability.

Over the last 7 years Ive been able to witness this exemplary leadership from a sister friend colleague @byallisonhill, she has modeled this theme so wonderfully! She not only walks this path but she uplifts and brings together some of the most inspiring, purpose driven, powerful, warm and loving black women in the city!

Deeply honored and grateful and want to express a big to my co leads - @blackgirlmagiccollective and @shadaneyoga and the inspiring speakers who really lit me up!

We were deeply inspired by a fireside chat with Inspector Tiffany Castell. Reminding us how to stay grounded when the expectations are high and the work is personal.
The panelists @ottheog @thecolorsofwe @ashleymckenziebarnes dropped gems on purpose, ambition, and wellness that we’ll be carrying forward ✨
