Order and obedience are smooth. But the sun stutters, the heart stutters, resistance movements stutter. ⚔️

I am building a house (so you can visit me)

A radiophonic play commissioned at the end of 2024 by @radiophreniaglasgow

Tape letters between two friends, one living in a blanket fort, the other in a house of paper, and both deeming the other’s home unsound, can’t seem to agree on who should visit the other. So instead, one of them decides to build a house they can meet in, out of the safest material: Noise

Tomorrow, Sunday on @radioalhara at 5:00 PM Beirut time/10:00 AM New York time 📡

The sound piece was recorded with the help of my friend George Nassar who voiced one of the characters and co-wrote the main song

Listening Zone ｜《Sounds from home》 | Yara Asmar | Day 1 & 2

The month my father was born, preparations for the Apollo 11 launch were underway, and for my grandfather these two events were inextricable. He collected all the newspapers he could get his hands on that were chronologzing it. Every day I learn from the ways my grandpa tried to record the lives of the people he loved by @microwave.blues
