Delroy Lindo💙💐🎬🎭🏆🇯🇲

Got to meet and speak briefly with a living legend. Born in Lewisham hospital, raised in South, school in Woolwich before moving to USA🇺🇸 Not to mention he shares the same name as my dad, coming from a Jamaican background🇯🇲 arriving in the UK 🇬🇧 with the Windrush generation that helped rebuild the UK after WWII.

First time watching him in my favourite biopic Malcolm X, standing right next to my 🐐 Denzel Washington, with Denzel even mentioning watching Delroy work, he had to go back home and revise his own work. Watching him in one of my favourite Christmas films ‘This Christmas’ with Chris Brown, and today with one of my favourites Michael B Jordan in Sinners as delta Slim.

A great actor. Someone who can really pour the emotions of the character into the role, his art beautiful. I had to tell him as I shook his hand how great he is and what he means to this world 🌍 No matter where you begin in life, your path is never laid out the same as those around you

I always knew from young as I drew logos at my Grandparents house during the holidays that I would one day have my own team🎨✍🏽

Falling in love with basketball at 16, my passions in sport moved, but the dream was always the same✨

As I got the privilege to play overseas for the first time in Portugal 🇵🇹, I got to play for a team ( @atleticocp ) + play against (Benfica) with more than 1 sport, and got to see in the city the 2 powerhouses of Lisbon/Portugal both @slbenfica & @sportingcp 🏟️🏆

The city, filled with their fans is not just about football, but it’s a love of all sports. Basketball 🏀, handball 🤾‍♂️, hockey 🏑, volleyball🏐, bringing all passions and people into one community. Supporting each other, no matter what they did, because they were family❤️💚

Wearing a shirt, even a colour is not just about the team you support, it’s about the community you join and who you stand with. As a boy from Lewisham, blue Borough with the golden community crown 👑💙 this is what I want for my people. A club, a space where all are connected and unified.

Mystics take a whole different look for the 2025/26 season with the Limited Edition ‘unity’ collection🔥 Ditching the Mystic lilac for the season, Mystics keep a black kit named ‘confrontation’ and sport a new colour called ‘Iron, Lion, Zion’🦁

‘Iron, Lion, Zion’ The new home kit colour for the season represents the ‘Lion of Judah’🦁 Courage, Royalty, Authority, Strength and Divinity are words associated with the beast which the Mystics adopt. Just like Daniel, all teams will enter ‘The Lions Den’ 🦁

‘Confrontation’ The new away kit for the season, is inspired by Damian Marley’s intro to the album ‘Welcome to Jamrock’ Taken from it Jermaine’s own artistic meaning behind the song, is a journey within the individual or as a team who wears it, that we are all at ‘War’ for the purpose of ‘Peace’ or ‘One Love’🖤💚💛❤️

London Mystics take a new look for the 2025/26 season👀

Inspired by owner of the Mystics Jermaine Mellis and his background of Jamaican heritage🇯🇲 and love for reggae music, along with his inspiration of the late great Bob Marley, an advocate for peace and ‘One Love’ for all nations of the world 🌍 ☮️

Labelled the ‘Unity’ collection, the Mystics will sport new look jerseys for the 2025/26 season, as well as some other merch to come out along the way.

Champions of Leicester🏆🥭💜

London Mystics 3x3 took a trip to Leicester on 21st June for the @elevatecourtsuk 3x3 tournament, with a cash prize of £250 to the winning team💷

With the trip being 3 hours long, it didn’t stop the Mystics, with them winning all games on the day without a single loss❌ in the group stages going 5-0, before advancing to the Quarter,Semi’s and Finals🏆

Jermaine Mellis was awarded the MVP for the day/Finals for his performances, especially in the finals, scoring 11 out of 14 points in the final win 14-12 against Walking buckets 🪣 Whilst also receiving an additional £100 from @h_onfilm a sponsor of the tournament.

With the successful win, all players received 300 on @fiba3x3 to add to their individual player rankings🇿🇦🇬🇧🇯🇲

NBA 3X (Creators Edition) Champions🏆💙❤️🤍

London Mystics, in partnership with @londonhoopz and She Hoopz came together to create the team to win it all in this years @nbaeurope 3x3 games🏀 Played for the first time ever in Trafalgar Square🔥‼️

Going undefeated the whole day against the countries most well known content creators🇬🇧 led the Shehoopz squad to the NBA Championship🏆

With this win, although it was not assigned to @fiba3x3 for points, a gift not just of £100 to NBA Store, but flights and accommodation to watch the Global NBA games next year in Paris 🇫🇷
