It was thundering when we showed up, and setting up in the rain I grumbled 'why do I like doing this?' and then it cleared up and our pals were next door and we went to the beach 6 times in 3 days. So much sand, so much friendship. So many snacks. Core memories, etc etc. Pinery 2.0 in the books. by @miekesamara

Sicky season, delayed Thanksgiving, cousins and siblings, whipped cream, yellow leaves, long overdue haircuts, dada's food truck visits, "let's go look for spooky yards" and messes I'm trying really hard to keep up with. But grateful. by @miekesamara

Single parent camping. But with the best of friends who I met camping when I was 15 so, full circle. We had the best time. 5 kids and three adults. No problem! The waves stayed and gave me the best therapy ever jumping and diving into them by myself. By myself!!! But also not without consequence bc I could not hear anything for three days later.

On our way home Marlowe screamed for "rock and roll" so I found a burned CD from when I was like 19 and the first song was "I'd kill to fall asleep" by New Found Glory. Which is the anthem to my life right now.

Thanks Pinery, we made memories we will never forget!!

For a kid who quietly, smoothly (&swiftly) arrived in the middle of the night, this boy can undoubtedly be described as an adorable hurricane.
No one can get enough of his sweetness, his energy, his determination and his wonder of life.
He was showered with fun today and he continues to shower us with fun every waking moment.
Hbd bud, now get into the bath, you are an absolute mess. by @miekesamara

Five years of her, and being a mom, and changing over and over and over again.

Yesterday when Hayden was crying in the car she reached her hand out to hold his and comfort him. A snapshot of her sweetness. Always working on her handstands.

When I was in labour waiting waaaay too long for the epidural I had a song by Stars playing over and over again in my head in waves of pain and anticipation.

The lyrics "always hold on when you get love, and let go when you give it"

I don't really know what that means exactly. But Hayden pooped in her bath tonight and we were able laugh about it instead of cry. by @miekesamara
