On the last day of what has always been my favourite festival, we had a moving experience lighting the chanukah candles and saying a prayer for all those caught up in the atrocities at bondi last sunday. We shared the meaning of chanukah with the wider community and space was held for us to grieve, honour and say a prayer for those who have fallen before their time. To the uniting church of tecoma, thank you for opening your door to us today and reaching out your hands to the jewish community in the hills who are hurting. Such gratitude. To those who have reached out a hand of support or offered a hug over the last week, thank you. My grandparents came to Australia to escape the madness of what happened in Bondi and tonight my lit candles are a prayer for everyone all over the world who have died because of anti-semitism. Being part of My Melbourne has been an incredible experience. I have been blessed to meet wonderful, creative and caring artists, work with extremely talented Indian & Australian film makers and be part of telling some truly beautiful stories. Massive gratitude to @mitulange @rimadas13 @leannetonkes @tammy_yang1217 @monique.nair @puneet4uall @sammyfire1_private for having me on board your project, working so hard for so long to creating a beautiful film and teaching me so much in the process. I feel blessed to have had the experience. It was great to see the cast again and also meet actors from the other stories. What an incredible initiative! Looking forward to more incredible stories being shared! #palaistheatre #iffmelbourne #mindblowingfilms taken in Hoyts Xtreme Screen District Docklands by @mikaebony
