Inclusivity isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a necessity. At the opening night of “My Melbourne,” I adored wearing this green Mekhla Chadar from my homeland, beautifully crafted by our passionate designer @sanjukta_dutta_ The film, produced by @mitulange , Mind Blowing Films, and VicScreen Australia, is a powerful journey into inclusivity, amplifying the voices of those often unheard—across sexuality, gender, disability, and race. The love from the audience was overwhelming. Heartfelt thanks to the entire cast and crew, and especially to my dear friend @mitulange for your passion and hard work in bringing this film to life. @iamonir you are truly missed here. Green became a color I cherished after my friend Lhari @bhutanstreetfashion dressed me in a green Bhutanese Kera during my time in Bhutan, knowing I had fallen in love with the “Green Tara.”💚🌿❤️

I’ve been reflecting on what a great experience I had working on, ‘7 Captiva Road’, these last couple of months.
This was my first time working with an intimacy co-ordinator and it truly hit home just what an important asset they are to our industry.
All those audience members who reported blushing at the top of Act 2, you can credit that to her amazing direction.
I felt so supported by Bella, my wonderful, talented scene partner @maxxgarciau and everyone in this production and the proof is in the authentic work we created.
Maureen was such a fun character to play. She was described as hot to trot (looking at you Olivia) or often as a hussy, but that was where the joy lay for me. I wanted to be challenged and that I was. Maureen is a female character unapologetically, empowered by her sexuality and hard set in her boundaries. She dictates what she wants and has a romping good time doing so (mind the pun). It’s not often that a female role like that comes along for a woman in her 30s. I’m super proud of the work I did. Big thanks to @anthropocene_play_company for allowing me the privilege of joining your production. It was as an honour to work amongst such talent. And to Andrea Ciannavei, the play-write who wrote such a compelling story. And to @em_joyable for generously passing on my details to @cathyjhunt You’re a gem! And lastly, of course, to all my pals who came out to support the show! It was a beautiful reminder of what a special, loving community I have. You are the best! Xx ‘7 Captiva Road’.
