Speed run of my (first ever) trip to Yosemite. Insert all the cliche lore about how great this place is. Somehow it’s exceeded all expectations. Still here and I can’t wait to come back to build more lifelong memories with new and old friends. What a privilege it’s been.

15 YEARS OF SYSTEM
That was everything I hoped it could possibly be. 10 hours is heavy, but seeing that vision come to life made every minute of work worth it.

Finally, a very special thank you to my son, Ethan @carhartt_trampstamp . Self proclaimed selector. Wearer of many hats. Not quite 6ft tall… 30 years in this scene and 15 years of steering SYSTEM has taught me that music always does a better job of communicating than I ever could. I’ve always been the type of person to show you how I feel through a set rather than vocalizing it.

Kyle Geiger

Little to no introduction to Kyle is needed here. I first met him in the mid-2000s during the peak of the minimal wave. Since then, he has become one of the most booked artists over our 15-year history.

One of my favorite memories is from a Movement weekend on the TV Bar patio—dancing next to Kyle and Jon Hester on top of that 8-foot-tall, 1-foot-wide block wall at some unknown hour above a packed floor, at least until security finally pulled us down. Maybe @kylegeigermusic remembers it different 😜. Nevertheless…

Despite maintaining a heavy international touring schedule that keeps him in booths like Berghain and Tresor, he remains grounded in the Midwest. He balances his career with being a father and a teacher—an approach to life and music that I’ve always respected. He’s been an essential part of this series since the beginning and an old friend ready for one last victory lap (maybe? Idk).

Kerosine (Flyover)
Minneapolis via Fargo-Moorhead area. Kerosine’s connection to SYSTEM began as a dedicated dancefloor soldier, eventually crossing the fence to join the crew circa 2019. He is the engine behind Flyover, coordinating the series, running the ‘Home’ sessions, and providing the cover art, artist photography, and audio mastering that define the platform.
A photographer, promoter, and relentless vinyl addict, his recent focus has shifted toward the deeper, more atmospheric side of the genre. It was a natural fit to have him set the foundation for our 15-year anniversary. Expect a deep and warm opening, certainly drawn from his recent dub influences and perhaps more—the perfect launch to this marathon session.

Antenes (The Bunker NY / L.I.E.S.)

Debut SYSTEM performance. Antenes operates a studio laboratory centered on the physical manipulation of hardware, specifically the lineage between vintage telecommunications and modern rhythmic exploration. Her discipline involves breathing life into decommissioned machines—transforming the architecture of repurposed telephone switchboards into functional tools for the booth. By re-engineering the signal paths through which voices once traveled, she generates sequences that burst with percussive energy and dense, evolving textures.

A Brooklyn resident by way of Chicago, Antenes’ sets dive into acid-laced techno, shimmering electro, and shadowy atmospheres. While this marks her first appearance for SYSTEM, she is no stranger to the Midwest, having performed at The Great Beyond in 2021 and 2025, Even Furthur, and more. While her extensive international touring history spans Asia, North America, South America, Europe, and Australia.

A brief SYSTEM history rundown for those new here
Following the end of the Timefog era in late 2010, SYSTEM began in 2011 with a residency in the First Avenue Record Room. When the Main Room ceiling collapse closed the Record Room permanently, the series moved to Bolt Underground for a year, followed by various underground locations before the first SYSTEM warehouse opened in 2015.

The project expanded into a record label in 2014. A second version of the SYSTEM warehouse opened in February 2018.

The warehouse space was lost in 2020 due to COVID, following the 9-year anniversary in February of that year. Since that anniversary, the only SYSTEM event held was a one-off Halloween event in October 2021.

Since then, most of my creative energy has focused into “The Intersection,” a video mix series filmed while living and climbing on the road. One episode is currently live, a second is recorded, and more are in development.

Steve Seuling and I have a history that goes back to the pre-2002 era when I was part of the early Intellephunk crew. We’ve spent over two decades as close friends and peers, helping each other on various projects and producing shows in the same rooms. But after 15 years of SYSTEM and even longer for Intellephunk, this SYSTEM 15 year anniversary marks the first time both projects are standing shoulder to shoulder to co-produce an event.

April 18th marks 15 years of SYSTEM. 10 hours. Full weight.

Dec and Jan were tough. Lots of lows—helplessly watching the terror in Minneapolis 💔 was heavy…remains heavy—with an infrequent high here and there.

Miraculously, life has turned around for me recently. Holidays, family, new connections, new friends, old friends, stoking the fire in music, climbing, climbing, climbing.

Life continues forward. Very excited for some of it while storm clouds gather on the horizon. Onto the next chapter. Hope to see you in it 🖤
