Spent the weekend at PAC, @proathletecommunity here in Miami, and Iā€™m still buzzing. Two days of networking with collegiate and pro athletes who are taking everything they built in sports and bringing it into business. The discipline, the grit, the resilience, all of it translates, and seeing them in the same room as business leaders was pretty cool to be part of. The moment that got me most was sitting at a roundtable with athletes I grew up watching, and having them ask me about the startups, the wins, and the faceplants from the last 15 years. I never pictured that switch flipping from fan to mentor, and I loved every minute of it. Swipe through for the recap šŸ‘‰ Follow along for more real stories from 15 years of building companies, and for where this PAC community goes next.\ taken in Miami Beach, Florida by @mikel_thomas

Mikel Thomas has officially joined PAC Signature. A 3x Olympian, 2x NCAA All-American, and national record holder for Trinidad and Tobago, Mikel built his name representing his country on the world's biggest stages in the 110m hurdles, adding two Pan American Games medals along the way. Off the track, he's translated that same drive into the boardroom, leading global partnerships and marketing strategy at organizations like Visa and Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and now serving as Athlete Strategy and Engagement Manager for Commonwealth Sport. We're proud to have Mikel as a PAC Signature member. by @mikel_thomas

Itā€™s time things change. Itā€™s time we start working together to build a sustainable future for the men and women who risk so much to represent our nations across the globe. A future where athletes can thrive. Where sport creates real opportunity. And where we give fans something worth believing in, supporting, and coming back to time and time again. We have the talent. We have the stories. We have the passion. Now itā€™s time to build the future of sport in our regionā€”together. #FutureOfSport #CaribbeanSport #AthleteFirst #SportBusiness by @mikel_thomas

šŸšØ NEW: Letā€™sTALK TONIGHT podcast on TTGameplan šŸšØ The graveyard behind Caribbean sport isnā€™t full of players. Itā€™s full of plans. Academies that never produced pros. Leagues that lasted one season. CARIFTA stars who vanished at 19. T&T netball ranked at 12th in the worldā€”top 21%ā€”while the executive suite stays stuck because everybody thinks we're losing... CPL, West Indies cricket, netball, track & field. Weā€™ve got the talent. Weā€™ve got the heritage. We donā€™t have the supply chain: volume, conversion, cost per athlete, media value, diaspora dollars. @mikel_thomas 3x Olympian, corporate exec & founder joins TTGameplan: ā€œSport in Trinidad & Tobago has never lacked talent. The bigger question is: have we built the businesses and systems for that talent to thrive?ā€ We talk professionalisation. The opportunities weā€™re leaving on the table. Making sport an economic driver. You care about the future of sport? Tune in Tomorrow evening THURSDAY, September 17. šŸŽ™ļø Full episode ā€” link will be in bio #TrinidadAndTobago #SportsBusiness #TTGameplan #LetsTALK #MikelThomas #CaribbeanSport #SportEconomics #Professionalisation by @mikel_thomas

World Athletics Ultimate championship finally paying athletes what they deserve, but some groups of cash and all better than others, but are they leaving money on the table? What happens from here? Depends on what they own. #athletebrand #ultimatechampions #starathletics by @mikel_thomas

Before I took on the world, I was just a little boy from Building 4, Maloney Gardens šŸ‡¹šŸ‡¹ Thatā€™s where Iā€™m from. A place not too many people may think much of but a place that built me. Coming home to host this back-to-school drive with my mother, my family and the people I love meant everything. It was bigger than school supplies. It was about pouring back into the community that poured into me and reminding the next generation: Itā€™s not just where you come from. Itā€™s where you can go. And I want every child in Maloney to know that anybody from here can go anywhere and do anything in this world. Dream bigger than your surroundings. The world is yours, too ā¤ļø by @mikel_thomas

Letā€™s give it up for our first guest on TSG, @mikel_thomas Mikel Thomas is a three-time Olympian from Trinidad and Tobago whose career has never been defined by just one lane. Heā€™s been an elite athlete, firefighter, coach, sports executive, and entrepreneurā€”each chapter forcing him to rethink success, identity, and what comes next. Grounded in faith and shaped by both success and adversity, Mikel now spends much of his work helping athletes and organizations build opportunities beyond the field of play. His story is ultimately about reinvention, resilience, and having the courage to stop waiting for permission to become who youā€™re capable of being. Tune in NEXT TUESDAY for the first episode with Mikel! by @mikel_thomas
